Family trip to Paradisus Palma Real
My family is part of Melia Circle, which included its own check-in lounge with snacks and a bar, as well as games and plenty of seating. We were a large group (20 people), with one person managing our check-in, so it was a bit disorganized. Our concierge Ariel did a wonderful job in scheduling our dinner reservations, spa appts and excursions. Very helpful! The rooms were very nice and well appointed. We had two adjoining rooms on the second floor. No issues with noise, and housekeeping did a good job. Plenty of space at the pools and beach, with great service from the attendants that serviced those areas. Raul was the best poolside bartender we could’ve asked for! Please note that you will be approached on the beach more times than you can count by locals trying to sell goods, tours, photo ops, etc. Restaurants were decent, with our favorites being the steakhouse and Italian. My 5-YO son absolutely loved the kid’s club, and ditched me several times to go hang out there. Overall, a decent trip in a family-friendly resort!

Very nice but not perfect
We spent a week in a junior suite, ground level in the adult section of the resort. The room was magnificently maintained. Very clean and comfortable. While you normally don't go to the Dominican Republic to watch television, since there are many American football fans taking a winter vacation, it's nice to know that the major American networks are delivered on television. The quality of the television in the rooms is very good. The food was also very good but not great. The "lunch box," a buffet setup, offered many tasty choices. Some of the food could have been warmer in temperature. Several of the specialty restaurants, including the steakhouse, we're very good. An important note: To get reservations at the specialty restaurants requires an early visit to a registration desk just outside the buffet. It is a hit or miss process. Additionally it was somewhat difficult to find a listing of daily events. A QR code on a check-in sheet only offered outdoor activities not evening entertainment. In conclusion you might ask why did I give this only a very good instead of excellent review? Because there was a language barrier with many of the employees leading to a less than efficient experience. Yes, the employees were incredibly polite well-groomed, and positive of attitude. However it required the use of Google Translate to be able to communicate and ask technical or in-depth questions. Overall this is a great place. Nice beach, quality drinks, good food and lovely grounds.

Don’t Stay Here. There are better options.
We are here right now. This place looks great but the service is not so good. You cannot make dinner reservations until you arrive but then all restaurants are fully booked. There is no place to eat except the buffet which is horrible, hot and stuffy. We are considering ending our trip early. Waiting to hear from the resort manager.

Paradisus
Our expérience at Paradisus was perfect, thanks to the excellent work of our concierge Christopher Rivera. He was absolutaly perfect!!!! It’s our 8th visit and we never had such great service. Yuderi, Pedro, Raphaël and Martin at the Beach are always excellent year after year. We love them. At Santé… we adore the waiter Gustavo. Viva Paradisus!!!!!

Best All Inclusive Ever
We visited the Paradisus Palma Real for our honeymoon and we had an absolutely incredible time. We booked a reserve room which meant we were accompanied by an assistant. His name is Christopher and he was the absolute best. He made dinner reservations for us, showed us around the resort when we arrived, and made sure to check in with us every day to see how we were doing. He would send us activities going on in the resort every morning, as well as sending us the menu for the dinner reservations he made. He even brought us a sweet letter and balloons to celebrate our honeymoon. Christopher made our stay PERFECT!
