Mar 01, 2025Amazing vacation time with or without kids!!
I just have to say that our stay there was absolutely amazing! The room was beautiful and always cleaned to perfection by the cleaning crew (special thank you to Yuri) she made sure we weren’t missing anything in our room. The food was delicious and you have quite the variety of meals to choose from, plus many options for the kids to enjoy as well! Really clean pools with amazing service from Angelo, Rachel and Estrada, who made sure during our whole stay we had food and drinks all the time! The beach was clean and very close to the rooms. Will definitely be going back there to enjoy another vacation!

Food is excellent, victor at the lunchbox was a pleasure. Resort is very clean. Pools are a nice temperature, beach is pretty private. Concierge was mediocre. Our kids enjoyed the kid zone and they did a great job entertaining inside. Overall would come again.

Paradisus Playa del Carmen - Riviera Maya Resort
We really enjoyed our stay at Paradisus Playa del Carmen - Riviera Maya Resort. The staff was very courteous, the grounds and pools were clean, the food was great, and the room very nice.

Excellent Resort and a big draw for the kids
The good; After spending a week at Paradisus Playa del Carmen, my wife, 2 daughters and I were very happy with the experience overall. There was a daily activities sheet for the kids and we felt like the kids were always prioritized which was important to us. The master swim up family concierge room was fantastically laid out and facilitated both fun and sleep for our 2 young kids as well as my wife and I. The housekeeping and turn down service was excellent. Lots of options for pools, great beach access, beautiful scenery. The Ok; We decided on Mexico because the food is better than most other vacation destinations. The food at Paradisus was a bit underwhelming. Breakfast tasted the same no matter where you got it from. The buffet wasn’t very good imo. You feel very obligated to tip everywhere you go. The tipping was non-stop. If you wanted really good service, tipping seemed to be the only way to get the staff to go out of their way for you. Maybe that’s just my guilty conscience but the rest of our group (12 other adults) felt the same. Money talks for sure. A bit frustrating given that you already pay a premium to book the family concierge. We had some really good servers….we also had some very bad servers. Seemed to be hit or miss depending on the venue. Overall we had a great time with our family and our group. Was it perfect, no. However, if we were to do another trip to Mexico, we would certainly consider going back to Paradisus as the venue itself was really really good.
