    Nice hotel with ‘room’ for improvement

    Very nice hotel with inexistant internet. So don’t expect to work in any way. Most of the staff were very kind and helpful. Great set up and view. Food is very good. Facilities are great and schedule very full. I wish there was more motorized sports on promises such as water skiing, jet skis and other thrilling machines.

    New Year’s in St. Kitt’s

    I did not know this gorgeous place existed until I started researching beach vacations for the week of New Year’s. We set up transportation from the airport easily through the resort, our driver Jarvis was a great start to our trip. He was so welcoming and knowledgeable about the island. We were impressed as we pulled up to the resort. My husband wasn’t feeling well so Mike at the front desk sent the Dr to our room promptly and even checked on my husband the next morning! We enjoyed the breakfast buffet at Great House every morning with friendly service from Tisah and another server, Janel, I think. These ladies were so thoughtful and remembered our family after the first day. My sons, 7 and 9, really enjoyed the Beach Shack that had buckets, shovels, goggles, footballs, every toy you might need for the beach as well as kayaks and paddle boards available. Shauntelle at the Pool Bar makes the best drinks and has such a fun personality! Sabby put on some adorable events that made our trip memorable- karaoke in the Top Golf Suite and S’mores on the beach! The fireworks display and buffet for New Year’s Eve dinner were impressive and I appreciated the decor and the 8:30 show for the kids. This was a wonderful location for our family vacation and we would love to return some day!

    Paradise

    Just finished my second stay at this hotel and the second visit was even more amazing than the first. From the second you arrive you realize how special this place is and that its beauty is nearly incomparable anywhere else. From my perspective, the service at the hotel was incredible. We were addressed by name and after meeting people once they remembered us and our preferences for the remainder of the trip. We were served by Tisah in the Great House for breakfast every morning. She made our morning every day and getting to know her was one of the true highlights of our trip. We spent almost our entire vacation within the resort using both the pool and the beach. Service in both places was incredible with regular check-ins to make sure we were comfortable and didn't need anything. Our water glasses were regularly refilled with water and ice. Being pampered isn't always my style, but I felt like I never needed to lift a finger and I was always in good hands with the attentive staff. I think nothing is more of a ringing endorsement than a statement that someone plans to return. I booked another trip while I was on the property because I didn't want to go home without knowing my return was already in the works. Truly an amazing trip.

    Beautiful Island; Sub-par Hotel Experience

    We decided to celebrate some big occasions at Park Hyatt St. Kitts, while also traveling with our almost 2 year old son. We sprung for the deluxe plunge pool suite. Also, after reading previous reviews, we opted for the all-inclusive food package (yes, food is very expensive). We had a series of misses, from food/drink service by the pool taking well over an hour to receive (sometimes never receiving them at all), to getting back to our room at 4 pm and still finding it not serviced. The food quality, in my opinion, was not what you'd expect of a 5 plus star resort, where you're spending well over $2500/night. They were always out of something, and being GF, I found they had a lack of options, down to not even having GF bread. Our first day at the beach, there was some sort of feces washing up and sitting on the beach. My toddler picked some up, wiped it on me, which certainly wasn't the best way to start my 40th birthday! I told several staff members after that, only to find once I made it to the manager that night, he had not been informed. The resort could benefit by having a beach clean-up crew, even for the seaweed and trash, like most resorts do. Being Hyatt Globalist members, we usually like to stay within the brand, and have never had a miss to this level. I spoke with the manager after the first day, he did make some improvements, such as making sure our room was serviced and having what we requested stocked in the mini bar, but there continued to be just overall inconsistency in the stay. Grateful to this platform for allowing people to be honest about their stays. I'm not the complainer, I'm usually the person that only writes the positive reviews. But this resort needs some major improvements.

    EXCITING TRIP TURNED UPSIDE DOWN SO QUICKLY

    Our 22 year Anniversary & My Birthday changed so suddenly after arriving on the property after choosing this property over The Four Seasons. The first red flag was upon arriving no staff member was in sight, not a bellman, or any other staff member to greet arriving guest! Highly unusual for a luxury hotel/resort. The check-in was pleasant and punctual. After being checked in we were then given a tour of the property as we were being transported to our room. The grounds were beautiful, as we arrived to our Ocean view junior suite with the plunge pool. As we entered the room the nightmare began and the exciting trip turned upside down immediately! Let me just say it was nothing like I was looking at on the website! When we walked in my husband and I were flabbergasted! The luxury, beautiful room that I had been so excited about for months was nothing like pictures on the website! I was so upset but tried to not panic because this was our first trip here and what were we to do. I immediately called the front desk, explaining the situation the room was awful, dirty curtains that were barely up, a couch that had a cover over it that needed to be trashed, nothing matched. It was awful, too much to name but pictures to compare what is on the website. After someone finally arrived to our room to assist us, they offered another room but after looking at it nothing was different except the couch didn’t have a cover on it but it had stains. I’m not sure but I just wondered if the other guest had nicer rooms. We were able to get a refund and I was able to get reservations at the Marriott Royal Resort & Casino! We loved it there, we were able to get a beautiful luxury king suite for five days for a fraction of the cost that we were paying there! The customer service was A1 the entire time, you have beach access, walking distance all amenities, with a few inside the hotel! We loved it there and the staff was so friendly!
