Dec 09, 2024Two Relaxed weeks at Park Royal Ixtapa
This trip was my fourth in several years as I love to go to Ixtapa and stay at Park Royal. I enjoy walking on the long beach and going to the nearby market and sit at The General for a drink. The visit this time was made particularly special as the vegan food on offer (especially made for my oil free requirement) was excellent. The chef made new dishes every day and my carnivore friends were envious of my plate.

Friendly and clean!
We had a great time here! The staff was wonderful and our room had an amazing view of the ocean. The food was very good, mostly authentic Mexican dishes, and there was plenty of it. This is a location that a lot of people from Mexico come to vacation, so you will definitely get a taste of the culture. It is within walking distance to markets and restaurants and the area is very safe. The air conditioning is not as cold as we are used to in the states, but the property is beautiful and there is a breeze off the water in the evening. We were very comfortable here. One of the only downsides was that if you wanted to make a reservation for the Italian restaurant, you could only do so between 12-12:30 in the afternoon, and only for a reservation on the same day. We have been to other properties where you had to make reservations, but they had the time to make them in the morning so it didn't interfere with your day.

Anniversary trip with son and daughter-in-law
Overall a very nice family resort. Food was pretty good (regular all-inclusive fare, remember this is Mexico!) but the burger bar and the pork taquitas were excellent. Staff was unfailingly polite and helpful, and their English was excellent. Pools were kept very clean, and nice that they were open till 8pm. Excellent children's pool. Beautiful beach; waves were too big for swimming when we were there but my husband enjoyed parasailing off the beach.

The beds were comfortable. The resort was Really clean. Jorge went over and above for us. Cesar as well. Alfonso was great in the restaurant. The entire staff was attentive.It was a very enjoyable trip. I just wish they had more options at the pool bar for alcohol.

Oct 31, 2024Hotel needs maintenance & they do nothing about screaming kids in the dining rooms.
If you want peace & tranquility I do not recommend. If you want a place where you let your kids run wild without any repercussions this is the place for you. Just the plain honest experience I had; call it as I see it. Now there were some hotel employees (David-Bell hop) & waitresses (Fabiola was one of many) who worked very hard to keep up with the mess people left behind.
