They can do much better
Beautiful place, very clean, wonderful people - beware of some VERY serious issues The good: beautiful setting with upper more quiet areas, and the busy and noisy beach and pool. Some of the staff just wonderful. The place is so clean that it is exemplary. The bad: flying umbrellas at the upper pool, injured a tourist and the resort takes no responsibility... inconsistent food in the restaurants (especially Frieda), complicated reservation system for dinners. Majority of the staff "no comprehended" English, and this becomes sometimes an issue. Long waits in the restaurants, annoying especially at breakfast when you spend an hour waiting to get your food. Can't trust information from the reception, even if a receptionist happens to be friendly (by mistake?). The ugly: at noon you get cut off from everything, even the shuttle to the beach... no food, no smiles from the reception... And this is even though you are told in the morning that you just need to vacate the room but you can stay, enjoy, eat and drink till you leave. This is when you learn the true face of this place, and you learn that in case of any issues (this is Mexico!) they will simply not know you... Advices: This is not a list to acknowledge the staff. If you do not want your Miami vice as red wine with orange punch better pay attention. There is no standard of excellence for everybody, what you get depends on who serves you 1. know your bartender so you can get excellent drinks. For me it was at the 7th floor pool Soledad aided by Isai. She is amazing, and makes amazing drinks. 2. know your servers: For me the food services at the 7th floor it were Leticia and Avigail. The "capitana" Itai is really helpful if there are any issues. Incredibly responsive, fixes problems. In the beach area and food buffet look for Franco, and seat in "his" tables. Eat breakfasts at the breach buffet, better food, and Franco with his politeness and attentiveness will make your day. We always got cappuccino right after coming, even before ordering it! 3. Have a great sense of humor. When they serve you "a dead horse meat" instead of what you ordered at Frida, don't get annoyed, just wait for the ribs you also did not order... 4. Get prepared for after 12pm shock the last day. Tip: Maybe tip people the last day after 12 for the entire stay? Some are really for you not watching when you are in the buffet without your "bracelet", they are true hosts and deserve a tip. In this place knowing who is who is essential if you want to have a vacation, instead of getting annoyed most of the time. People get back there mostly because of people who work there, cleanness, and nature around and in the resort. To the management: Don't comment on my review, just implement changes coming from advices.

Gross Negligence and Dangerous Conditions
I stayed at Parl Royal Haultulco recently, and my experience was not only disappointing but outright dangerous. While sitting on the upper pool deck, a strong gust of wind dislodged an umbrella from its stand. The umbrella flew toward me and impaled me. Although I saw it coming and attempted to shield myself, I was unable to avoid being hit. The umbrella’s base struck me in the face, cutting my upper lip and bruising the bridge of my nose. It then hit me twice across the abdomen and groin, leaving severe bruising and swelling. Thankfully, I was wearing sunglasses, or I could have been blinded. My injuries include: -A swollen and cut upper lip -Bruising across the bridge of my nose from the impact of my sunglasses -Painful bruises across my abdomen -Bruising in my pelvic area The hotel staff's response was appalling. They brought a medic to assist, but he didn’t speak English and offered no real help. The manager arrived but insisted we pay for medical attention instead of addressing the incident. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of responsibility—only demands for payment. After speaking to other guests, I learned this was not an isolated incident. Just the day before, two umbrellas flew off the stands—one even flew over the ledge of the pool deck, and another struck a man on the shoulder. Despite multiple warnings, the hotel staff failed to take any precautions to ensure the umbrellas were securely fastened. This is gross negligence. The resort should have implemented a safety policy to secure umbrellas after the first incident. I have attached photos of my injuries to highlight the severity of this preventable accident. Bending over and even touching my stomach is still painful. I urge future guests to be cautious and question the resort's commitment to safety. I will be seeking further action regarding this matter.

Very nice trip overall. Friendly staff.
It seemed they did not have enough staff at the front desk, but everywhere else seemed well-staffed. The cart rides up and down the curvy hills were on a good schedule, and were somewhat like a ride at an amusement park. We did not rent a car, but taxis were available 24/7. The all-inclusive meals pretty much meant you were eating at the buffet, as the 2 restaurants were almost impossible to reserve. The buffet foods were good and had a nice selection.

Great vacation location
Hot temperatures . Not commercialized so you get the real Mexican flavour. The waterfall tour is a must see along with any shoreline boat ride as there is numerous bags golden sand beaches. The hotel is situated in a hill so some people with walking handicap my find it difficult ,they do have shuttle rides to get you around.

Excellent value at Park Royal Beach Resort Huatulco
We really enjoyed our 10 days at the Park Royal Beach Resort Huatulco, and would definitely stay there again. The hotel rooms are not beach-front but the resort contains beach-front property. Our room on the second floor of building 6 has a great view of the ocean. The beach is very nice and the bay is very scenic. The buffet was always good. The walk from our room to the beach is about 750 meters (I measured the path on Google maps). We did this trip 2 or 3 times a day. We typically walked, but sometimes took the shuttle. The staff is very friendly and enjoyable.
