Unit 107 is a dump!
I can only comment on the unit we stayed in. We booked this through VRBO which leads me to believe they weed out all negative reviews. Pictures on website were obviously outdated and so was the place. Mini split odor made us sick. We only stayed 3 nights and that was 3 nights too long!

The pictures you see online are not what you get. I was horrified when I went entered the property. Paint was peeling, dirt was heaped in the corners, and although the owner said there was air conditioning in the living room and bedroom, I sure didn't see them. I also requested ocean front property, but we never aw the ocean there. We stayed just long enough to make accommodations at another hotel. The owner said this was a 3-star accommodation. NO WAY! It's no wonder she required full payment 2 weeks ahead of time. She refused to refund any money at all even though we didn't stay there. I trusted VRBO before to screen their accommodations, but never again!

This place is a dirty dump in a slum area. I don't know where the pictures online came from, but they weren't from this place! Paint was peeling, dirt was thick in the corners of every room. We stayed 30 minutes--just long enough to book the Marriott. The owner claims there were window a/c units--one in the living room and one in the bedroom, but apparently, I need my glasses changed. I sure didn't see them! But even if I had, if I had known this was what was offered, I never would have booked. I couldn't leave fast enough. It was so hot in the unit that I was wet with sweat within 5 minutes! This was in January! Can you imagine what it would be in July and August? Run, don't walk, away from this place! That's what we did!

Need improvement
Conceptually hotel has great value and abilities to give traveler that many hotels on island don’t have. Private pool, kitchen and separation from others. Close approximation to couple beaches, It would be mind blowing if units would be maintain and had updates to have higher level of furnishings. We had unit that they use as photo model but those photos were done 20 year ago. It need modifications and some renovation

The Island is still a 3rd world country:
The villa we stayed in was pretty nice overall. The owner of the unit was very nice and helpful, however, the management at the site apparently does not know how to run a hotel. Our pool turned dark green. This is algae. There is mainly only one way for that to happen. The filtration system either does not work properly or is only turned on for a very, very limited amount of time. Either way, we lost at least two full days of using the pool at a place called; Pools and Pavilions. My younger son got a pretty bad rash on his body from the pool and had to take Benadryl and cortisone cream and is still on it. The grounds of the hotel need massive work and the place needs a major facelift. The place is a throwback to the 60's and never updated. Also, it should be noted, the island is like a 3rd world country. We used to travel to St. Thomas a lot back in the late 90's and it was wonderful. I don't know what happened to this island but good luck if you travel there. The price of gas, food, t-shirts, ice cream, etc. is totally out of bounds. If you think that the price of things here in the states are bad; and they have gotten bad over the past 6 months, its nothing like St. Thomas. We went out for ice cream one night and got four cones and it came to $34!!!!! I never saw a simple hamburger for less than $14 and if you want a cocktail, take out a home equity loan. When travelling home, the airlines at the St. Thomas airport said that my airline ticket was not in their system and I had no seat. That took over an hour to fix. The couple next to us in line was from South Dakota and they told us they flew in on Wednesday and left on that Thursday. Less than 24 hours. They said that they never saw such a bad island like St. Thomas. They also thought that it was like a 3rd world country. All I have to say is; Good luck if your traveling there. You will need it and bring TONS of cash or credit cards, you will need it.
