Family of six! Great experience!
Super clean, efficient with all in our party of 6! Best part was one of us didn't mind staying up past midnight to book all a la cart restaurants! The towel scenarios at pool side are the same! Maybe the one who stays up to pre book restaurants can "dib" a lounge chair ?? At midnight :)

Not a true adult only & Needs Renovation.
Not a true Adults Only experience. Our room was directly across a small courtyard from the family building. Only 2 restaurants on the adult side. All main spaces were on the family side and Impossible to find seating in the main area where the coffee shop, theatre, shops and main and only buffet are located. There was an adults only section in the main buffet but staff did not enforce it and actually seated families with small children there. Impossible to find a spot to sit around any pool - not enough loungers. Food was decent, desserts were meh except for the ice cream - yum. Staff was phenomenal. Steakhouse was the best a la carte. Delish. 1hr45min WAIT for take out pizza and was practically raw. Guys burgers was great. Breakfast at Braza was awesome. Adult lobby/bar was as big as the waiting room at my dentist office. Tried to go there in the eve 3x no seats available. Rooms are extremely damp and musty, brown smelly water and in need of updating. The entire resort needs a Reno. Will not return.

Off season visit
This was our first time visiting Planet Hollywood, we have been to Cancun at least twice a year for the past 10 years. We booked through Costco and they had a promotion here and it was very attractive. I’ll start with a good, hotel was very clean, restaurants were also clean and staff was very friendly. Beach was nice Sandy no debris. Food was on par with all the other resorts I visited. The things that could be improved on was their restaurant booking system. It could be the worst system out there. You have to wait till midnight to book for the following day. Most restaurants were sold out in minutes if not seconds at midnight. So mainly the buffet was your major option. They have an Indian restaurant that is never open to the public as it seems to be always booked for weddings. They do their best to upsell you on everything there. From the minute you arrive to pretty much the whole trip they were trying to sell us something. If you want to upgrade your meal it can get pricey. Even to United States standards. One example is we wanted a lobster tail and they quoted us $60 US D. We hired a car for the day and went into town and went to an upscale seafood restaurant. If you want to upgrade your meal it can get pricey. Even to United States standards. One example is we wanted a lobster tail and they quoted us $60 US D. We hired a car for the day and went into town and went to an upscale seafood restaurant. 4.75 stars per yelp. And that same Lauster cost us $26 USD. It was also twice the size. For me I won’t be returning as the experience was OK, but not memorable.

Planet Hollywood cancun, Butler Damian Silva is the best!!!
Great hospitality, our butler Damian Silva was extremely kind, helpful, and very thoughtful, it was the little things like a smile or a joke he always had. He went above and beyond and got one of our family members setup to DJ the club! Thank you Damian!!!!!

Not a great experience
We’ve been to Cancun many times and like to try a new property during each visit. Planet Hollywood was by far the worst resort we’ve visited. Here’s a list of the issues - Room smelled like mildew - Food was terrible - App for making reservations did not work - Treated like 2nd class citizens since we booked via Marriott and not directly with PH. It seems like we heard the word “no” too often because we booked via a 3rd party. - Overall property looked much older than it is. While some of the staff were great and we had a nice view from our room, the cons by far outweigh the pros. We will never return to this property and will now avoid any other PH properties as well. Avoid this resort! There are much better resorts in Cancun.
