Resort is mediocre. Food not great. However, Edu (bartender in the lobby bar) saved the vacation. Best employee at the entire resort. If you end up here, go straight to him.

I was looking for a Costa Rican getaway and unfortunately felt like I was in the US. They cater way too much to Americans. Mind you, I was born in the US - to Mexican parents - and am fluent in both English and Spanish. Yet it felt like their main priority was pleasing Caucasians - even if we both had USD and both are American. I completely understand Americans and Canadians are their main visitors for tourism, but there should be a fundamental level of attention and respect for all visitors and guests alike. If you are looking to truly experience Costa Rica - MAKE SURE TO GET OUT OF THE RESORT.

Beautiful location , access to the beach. Very friendly atmosphere, rooms are very clean Amazing service. Karolina served delicious native cocktails🍸 Food always fresh a huge variety.

A super quick trip
My friend and I just came back from a girls trip. It was super short (3 nights). This was my first time staying here. And the 3rd time staying at an all inclusive property. The staff is really what makes this place truly special. Some stand outs include: Jedder the activity leader for the resort. He encourages people to join in on the fun! He lead our Behind The Scenes Tour of the resort which was super interesting! And he remembered our names! Mickie and Henry in the Buffet Restaurant. Mickie was so SO fun and worked hard to make our time special. And Henry answered our questions about Costa Rican cuisine and hand selected some desserts for us to try! And last but not least, Yarely in the Star Class Pool area. He had the biggest most welcoming smile. When we couldn’t think of a fun drink to have—he came up with one and brought it to us.

Disappointed
Despite emailing the assistant manager ahead and asking at check in to recognize 2 birthdays in the group nothing was ever done. Service people friendly Bar drink very low quality cheap alcohol and no taste/flavor. Glasses not properly washed with soap or hot water just quickly rinsed with in pool bar for reservice. Have to upgrade for 60$ a day per person star class to get any brand name alcohol and some other meager benefit. Resort credits worth less as spa and gift shops price terribly inflated so no value or savings there. Variety is good but quality of goods low. Buffet food mediocre. Hot chocolate cold every day, signs posted do not match the food, food recycled from dinner to breakfast so on and so forth you can see the reheated products. Juices watered down. Coffee good. Lots of variety but again from recycled food. Very disappointing for a us Based chain no consistency in quality of food upheld. Only buffet for breakfast and lunch and guy fieri’s. I think if GF saw the quality, taste, presentation and size of food served he will yank his name. The burger party is like a meat ball in The middle of the bun. Service is very slow. The sides complementing the main dishes in the buffet do not match. One server seemed annoyed that I asked him to serve the slice meat and just slapped it onto the plate. My husband slipped and fell twice on the slippery in The bathroom. Coffee maker and cups in the room but no coffee or condiments? Check in process ok and room was ready so good there. Lack of signage in lobby so don’t know where to find anything and no general concierge available Very lacking in activities one show per night and nothing in the pool area especially for kids No value for money ant this resort.
