Great vacation
Very nice accommodations, pillow's were a little on the hard side but our Butler brought us softer ones. Room was always clean, mini bar refilled daily. Grounds very nice, a lot of activities to choose from with the dynamic entertainment staff or you could just relax. All service personal were very nice. Ana who cleaned our room was especially sweet, quick and efficient. Our Butlers Pedro and Trinidad made sure on a regular basis that we were happy and always checked on us. Thank you staff at Planet Fitness you make this place how wonderful it is.

Christmas at Playa Mujeres
This was our first time at this resort, but not the first time in Cancun. Overall, our family had a lovely time. All of the staff were great, but we found the general maintenence of the property to be extremely poor. Kids club- my kids asked to go frequently! The staff were great. Rose, Itzel, Wendy, Fatima, Alis, Cinthya, and Marley did a great job of planning and executing activities and keeping the kids engaged. My boys especially liked the Christmas activities, like making cookies and painting ornaments, but also enjoyed the chef experience. The kids water park was fun too, but the water was a little cold, so my kids preferred the star class pool. There is a fun slide near the lazy river that my kids were willing to brave the cold water to enjoy! Food- decent. Some things were better than others. They did a great job of making sure there were options for kids. Drinks were ok, but the mixed selection of options meant that not all bars could make the drinks I wanted. We reallyed the Japanese, steak house, and Mexican restaurants but did not care for the Italian one. Daniel at the steakhouse was so sweet to my children! Employees- Marco at the star class pool made sure we were comfortable with plenty of towels and helped blow up our children's pool floats. Chris and Cesar at the star class bar were very helpful, but we thought all of the bartenders there were great! The staff at the star class grill were all kind and attentive too, even willing to make specialty drinks for us. Facilities- the only heated pool was the star class pool and most of the other pools were too cold for comfort . There is little attention paid to facilities maintenence, including rust, chipping paint, broken tiles that exposed metal and posed safety hazards to younger guests, broken shower head, and lots of black mold in our room. Our room had a horrible mildew smell that we have not experienced at other resorts in Cancun. When I discussed all of this with the front desk, they provided a dehumidifier and fixed the shower head, but there was no effort made to clean the black mold. The resort is not sprawling and easily walkable, but the sound from the evening performances and those enjoying them carried into our room late into the night. The beach is beautiful, one of the nicest, we've encountered in this area. Very little seaweed and not rocky. Ultimately, we would not come back because of the condition of the facilities.

Great entertainment staff
Very busy time of Year for the resort, arriving for Christmas. Was not able to book any restaurants only able to eat at the buffet, due to unavailability. We’re told to get on the app at 12:01am each day to book. Did that first night and didn’t work. Did not want to waste vacation getting up in the middle of the night to keep trying. Guest services was not able to help visited them 3 times for help. The entertainment staff was top notch. They worked their butts off all day every day. The kids were engaged, involved and lots of activities to take part in if you want to. Victor was awesome checking in with us after activities and connecting with the kids. The crew at the surf station were amazing! They kept the kids having fun all day long and looked like they enjoyed their job. Jasmine was extra awesome braiding hair, at the piñata and other kids events in the evening. Unfortunately,For the extremely high price we paid we feel we did not get our moneys worth due to reservation issues, long lines, and waits.

Mixed Experience at Planet Hollywood Cancun: Highlights and Disappointments
Planet Hollywood Cancun offers a mixed experience. While the kids club is a highlight, with staff like Rose providing excellent care for my children, the overall food quality is disappointing. Most meals were cold and lacking flavor, although there were some standout items, such as the fresh tuna sashimi and toro carved to order, which were complimentary and truly enjoyable. The pools are frigid, with only one heated option available for an extra fee. Service is generally good, but the restaurant reservation system is frustratingly difficult to navigate. Rooms feel dated, and some have mold issues. Although the lazy river is enjoyable once you get used to the cold, I would not return due to the food and pool temperature issues. The nightly shows start late and vary in quality, but we did enjoy the Christmas show. Overall, while there were some highlights, the negatives outweighed them for us.

Bad experience - do not go here !!!!
I do not reccomend this resort: -Lines are very long as it’s under staffed -Only good food is at buffet bc restaurants are not good -The adults section is very boring -Entertainment is very below average - horrible service all around including house keeping - one cafe and lines are always huge for it plus half the items in the menu are unavailable - any special requests to room take the entire day to receive We are very unimpressed with our experience considering we travel to all inclusives every year and this one was the worst by far.
