Wouldn't go back - not good value for money.
Our experience at the Platinum Yucatan really missed the mark in a number of key areas, Following is a summary of the concerns: Customer Service Issues: The interaction with Jorge at the front desk was a big part of our negative experience. It’s disappointing when staff are dismissive or unhelpful, especially when we were simply asking for something as reasonable as a king-size bed. The fact that he got defensive and was speaking poorly of us in another language only made things worse. Great service should make guests feel heard and valued, not like they’re inconveniencing anyone. Dining and Special Dinner Experience: The food was repetitive and lacked variety, which can definitely get monotonous after a few days. The situation with the seafood dinner booking was also a major negative experience—miscommunication and confusion like that can make an already expensive dining experience frustrating. And the attempt to upcharge us for lobster definitely felt misleading. Staff are fluent in English when they’re selling you an upgrade or special, but suddenly have trouble when questions arise. Spa Experience: In a resort of this so-called calibre, we expected a relaxing and professional massage, but instead were left with a very poor and uncomfortable experience. Spending $100 on a massage and receiving something less than therapeutic is definitely disappointing. A resort should offer a quality spa experience to match the price and expectations. Room Condition: The room maintenance issues are a shame, especially for a resort at this level. Cracks, gaps, and dirty grout aren't what you'd expect from a high-end property. Cleanliness and upkeep should be top priorities in all areas of the hotel, including rooms and common areas. On the bright side, we experienced great weather and well-maintained grounds, which at least made the best of a challenging stay.

Thanks esmerelda and Marcos
Esmerelda and Marcos st Princess Spa were amazing! Best pedicure I ever had. They were very considerate of my sensitive tootsies and made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. All of the restaurants were amazing, the weather was perfection, pools were clean and numerous.

Solo get away for peace and quiet in the sun.
This was my second solo visit to the Platinum Yucatan Princess. I've also stayed with friends at the sister resort next door twice. Overall, I have always had an enjoyable vacation here. On this visit, I spent 8 nights in a Jr. Suite. If you are looking for quiet, I recommend a room in building 1 or 2 facing the garden or the far end of building 4. Rooms in building 2, 3 and 4 facing the pool can be a little loud during the day since that is the "party" pool. If you are concerned about the coatis, they never bothered me on the 3rd floor. They can easily access your patio though, if you book a swim out room, and if you leave food or your bag unattended by the pool, they will sometimes investigate. One finished my drink for me. In general though, they, along with the cats, birds, deer and iguanas, are fun to see and harmless. Both the main pools have swim up bars, but the one closest to the ocean, "Pool Bar Platinum" is quieter with fewer people in general and very comfy loungers and day beds. Breezy afternoons by the sea were always great. They have improved the beach since the last time I was there, its wider now, but the ocean is still rocky on the Platinum end. You can walk over to the other resort for better ocean swimming. The seaweed wasn't a problem this time, but the Sargasso is seasonal and, as a natural phenomenon, completely out of the control of the resort. The buffet restaurant is great for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a snack. Dinner in the separate restaurants is also available but I found I liked the buffet better. The snack bar at the beach is nice too for a casual burger and a beer. Just don't leave your food unattended. The birds will swoop in to eat your fries! You should know that with your Platinum Yucatan bracelet, you have full access to the Grand Sunset Princess and Grand Riviera Princess resorts next door. I took full advantage by booking dinner at their restaurants, La Hacienda (Mexican) and La Vaqueria (Argentinian). I enjoyed both of them. Just ask for a reservation a day or two in advance from the concierge at the Platinum Yucatan front desk. The lobby bar on the Riviera Princess side was good too, with good drinks and people watching. I also liked the Riviera Snack Buffet for a change of scenery. You only need reservations for the sit down restaurants. There is a schedule of activities every day, most of which I didn't do, but the 10am yoga or Pilates class with the very capable Yvette was great. She even remembered me from my previous visit which was really nice. I booked an 80 minute "Yucatan" massage with Gerardo at the Spa Princess that was worth every penny. I really enjoyed it. There's also a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. I can't remember "my" housekeeper's name, unfortunately, but he was great too. I left a note requesting sugar free soft drinks and my fridge was stocked with Coke Zero's for the rest of my stay. He left me fresh beach towels every day as well, and my room was always clean. My safe didn't lock when I arrived, 15 minutes after a call to the front desk and it was fixed. Finally, thank you to the army of gardeners, housekeepers, security, waitstaff, bartenders etc. working all day to make my visit an enjoyable one. I appreciate it and I'll be back.

Not “Platinum” quality. Would NOT recommend. And I never write reviews.
I went with a positive attitude to this all inclusive adult resort. Thinking that platinum and quality, but it really didn’t. We arrived late, and our first encounter at the front desk was rushed because the girl said she was finished. We were checking in and she put a whole bunch of papers down and rushed through them and expected us to just understand the resort. So first impressions - not a good start. A staff member was kind enough to help with our luggage to our room and directly outside of our room front door was a big pile of poo. There are wild raccoons there, which we understand can do this. The staff member asked if he can go inside and call down to have it removed. However, no one did come because it was still there the next day. So we called down again. Absolutely beautiful rooms. The size is awesome. However, cleanliness was terrible, A contact lens was on the light switch, Hair was at the bottom of the shower, Watermarks were all over the nightstand, which was easily wiped off by me, which means the nightstands were not washed. The two courtesy drinking glasses in the bathroom that are turned upside down, supposedly cleaned, when turned over, you can tell that someone had been using that glass for there toothbrushes because of the toothpaste at the bottom of the glass. Did not have a functioning blow dryer so had to have it exchanged not once but twice. With regards to the staff, it was hit or miss. We had three amazing servers at breakfast lunch, and dinner, The rest couldn’t care less to check your table to see if you needed water or coffee, They were more worried about cleaning their sections, then serving people. For an all adult resort, it’s unbelievable that they don’t really have food at the beach, Whereas their sister resort next-door does. Their buffet area closes at 3 o’clock and all they leave out for adults or just hamburgers, hotdogs and nachos. The beach is sandy but the minute you go in the water it’s all rocks. I highly recommend bringing water shoes because the rocks are sharp slippery and you will cut your feet. This to me is not a five star resort and I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody. The only nice thing about this resort is that it’s quiet and not overly busy. The food is OK, but it’s possibly one of the smallest buffets I’ve ever been to at a resort. For the price, it’s not worth it. From a disappointed traveller.

Relaxing in paradise
The customer service is excellent, every single person we interacted with was kind, friendly, helpful, and gracious. Highly recommend the couples massage - Ana and Elena did an excellent job. And the resort itself is gorgeous. I couldn’t stop taking photos. It really felt like paradise.
