    Paradise experience

Our partial sea view provide perfect starts to perfect days, everyday we were in paradise. The room is bright, clean, comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful - special thanks to our housekeeping ninja Patricia! She always cleaned the room perfectly, made sure we had a special touch - flower petals, extra blankets, towel animals (my favorite) - she was great!! Highly recommend this hotel for a great vacation!

    Excellent staff and location

What a great location for the value! Excellent and friendly staff. To mention a few Miguel and Alejandro work so hard to make sure you always have a cold drink on the beach. We love you guys! Pablo was always quick to get our chairs and umbrellas set up for us daily! See you next time!

    Hotel in a good location

Location: This place is in a great location if you want to explore the town and malecon. The hotel lobby is literally situated a step from the sidewalk but it felt safe. It’s right on the beach and about 20-30 minutes from the PV airport. The location means it’s busy (especially on the malecon) and the beach is not private so a lot of vendors who approach you all day. They were all friendly and not too pushy and were selling your typical items. It can be a bit noisy at night from the surrounding bars, street etc depending on where your room is located but nothing terrible. Oxxo is within footsteps of hotel which was great. Hotel: This is a hotel, not a resort so has a more relaxed and quaint feel to it. 5 levels of rooms (4th floor is the top floor). 1 main restaurant included in all-inclusive package where you eat all meals and snacks. There are other places to eat that are affiliated or attached to the hotel but you have to pay. There is one main pool, a small kids pool, small hot tub and small adults pool. All pools, restaurants and beach area are shared with 2 other sister properties so can get very busy especially on weekends. Everything closes down at 10:30. There’s really no where to lounge or hangout at night so plan to leave the hotel if wanting to stay up past 10:30. Pool and beach: Open 10-10 everyday. Main pool is cool and adults pool is warm. There are very few chairs pool side and very little to no shade when sitting. The main pool itself is mostly shaded all day. People save chairs with towels so need to get there early or wait for a chair. You can “order” beach chairs in the morning where you exchange your towels. The hard working men set up your chairs, umbrella and table for you. This was nice as we didn’t have to rush to get a chair. The beach is very hot and with all the vendors isn’t that relaxing. Good service from the bar if you tip well. Food: Average at best. Breakfast was the best meal with 2 cook stations serving eggs to order and French toast or pancakes. Also other cold options and hot options(not many and sometimes more dinner-like). Also fresh pastries daily. Essentially the same offerings everyday. Lunch and dinner was hit or miss and pretty basic. Seemed like the same food every day with the odd variation. A lot of the hot dishes were overly ladened with sauces or butter or oil. 2-3 cook stations (serving tacos, quesadilla, sopas and grilled meat depending on the day). Snack bar serving beach food. If you want guacamole you ask for it at the snack bar. Dinner A la carte was basic but okay. Again lots of oil/butter and too much salt. Rooms: We stayed in a superior room with partial ocean view. We stayed in room 419 (4th floor) which had been updated and had 2 king beds, large bathroom and large wraparound deck with loungers with a nice ocean and pool view. Lots of closet space, fridge and a safe. Air conditioner worked well but was a bit noisy. We were with 3 other couples who were on 3rd and 1st floors whose rooms were very small, old, dark and very dated despite 2/3 couples paying for same type of room as me & my husband. Our maid was lovely, kept the room clean and water in the fridge (tip extra for more water). Staff: Most staff were friendly and helpful throughout the hotel. The bar staff, especially Alejandro and Miguel were great and kept the drinks flowing at the beach and pool. They work really hard and deserved all the tips! There was one night of entertainment which was nice. Bars: There is one main bar and a pool bar. The pool bar closes early and the main bar is open until 10:30pm. Basic drinks (beer and highballs) were good. Blended drinks and margaritas were inconsistent depending on who made them. Overall it was an okay place to stay but not a great place to stay. Can probably get a better value for your money elsewhere depending on the time of the year.
