Excellent place to stay if you prefer less busy resorts!

All good things to say about our stay, only a few wish list items for not giving it a 5/5. The grounds are impeccable the service is top notch! All restaurants we tried were good. We especially loved the beautiful long private beach! Everyday whale watching was a special treat! This is in a truly gated community, at least two check points. We toured Sunset but preferred our smaller less busy Pacifica.

Overpriced property in need of full refurb.

We have recently returned from a four night stay at this resort together with our friends. We both opted for an Ocean front suite on the third floor. The purpose of our visit was “ chill out time” at the end of a road trip around California prior to returning to the UK. Unfortunately the resort and accommodation did not live up to our expectations. The accommodation consisted of the only positive which was a balcony overlooking the beach and ocean. It then went downhill from there. The sittting room area had an old tired sofa, covered in a stretchy nylon fabric, a glass table with four hard chairs and a small kitchenette area. The bedroom was at the rear and has a window that overlooked the main access corridor. The bedroom contained two double beds but is too small to accommodate the two beds and the curtains needed to stay closed to maintain privacy from the corridor. The bathroom was tiny with no ventilation and had a shower over the bath with a shower curtain. Everything was dated and musty smelling. The resort itself suffers from “ sunbed wars” which starts at 6 am, when bellboys from the hotel who have been tipped put towels on sunbeds in the most favourable positions. It’s then followed by patrons putting out various personal items onto beds to reserve the remaining dirty blue sunbeds. Some of these are not occupied until after 11 am, thereby preventing other patrons from sitting by the pool. There are insufficient sunbeds for the amount of guests. The food was average. We were on an all inclusive package and found that the breakfast at Rosso offered the best choice. We also preferred Cilantro for dinner but only managed to eat there on one occasion due to it being fully booked. We paid a lot of money for this four day break and we’re all sadly disappointed with our stay.

Highly Recommend!! - Home Away from home!!!

Just got back from 10 days at the Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos. This is our 8th year going in a row and there is a reason that we come here year after year. Room: we stayed in the junior suit on the third floor. We like the junior suit best because it is all one giant room as opposed to the bedroom being away from the view. You could see the ocean from bed. The housekeeping staff is amazing and did wonderful cleaning and turn downs for us every night. Pool: We always use the Blanco pool because it is quieter and there are less kids as opposed to the Rose pool. We do go to the Sky Pool one day at Sunset for the amazing views and fun music. However, Alfredo Rodriguez, who is a server at the Blanco pool is AMAZING!!!! He has been our server every year and we always make sure to sit in his section. He goes above and beyond to bring us extra water and drinks without even asking. He is so personable and truly makes our experience enjoyable. Food: Palmos breakfast is our favorite meal of the day! They are constantly working to improve the menu and the divorced eggs, green/seasonal fruit plate and Veracruz eggs are our favorite. We also really enjoyed Cilantros lunch, the coconut shrimp and mixed fajitas with guac - you cant go wrong! For dinner, we like going to Palmos, they have a really good beef stew, and an octopus dish that is to die for. If you are craving something more fresh, the catch of the day and the Requeson salad are also fan favorites. The sushi restaurant at Sunset Beach is also a favorite for us and we make an effort to go there at least once sometimes twice. Once again cannot recommend this resort enough, it is our home away from home!!!

    Hits and misses.

Honest review….. just got back from 5 days at this resort. Pueblo Bonito Blanco. First want to say that overall it was a fun trip. The room we had was Deluxe oceanfront with two beds in the bedroom. The room was old and tired and dark in the bedroom and bathroom. The living area had great lighting in the day but dark at night. The beds had old blue bedspread which gave me a cringe. Could barely get around the beds it was so tight. But it was clean enough if you didnt look too deep. The food was okay. Breakfast at Paloma’s was really the best meal of the day. Not a lot of choices between the Rose and Blanco but was adequate. We never ventured out to catch a shuttle to Sunset and try their restaurants. Paying extra for Fellini ‘s wasn’t worth it to me personally but the food was decent. It seemed the restaurants were understaffed at dinner at times. Having to find chairs at the pool and the beach was not easy. People save them early and let them sit empty for hours. The staff doesn’t prevent it so….🥴. No one wants to get into a confrontation on their vacation so you just move on. This was a disappointment for sure. If your a beach person just know…. You get no peace on the beach, it is a public beach so the locals push you to buy their products relentlessly. It never stops. The friends that we were with enjoyed it but I found it very annoying over time. There is a cruise ship docked right in front of the resort almost everyday, which blocks some of your view of the beauty that you came to see. The location was very convenient and can walk to the marina which was where we would meet up for our water excursions. The tipping: okay I’ve been to both the all inclusive which does not take tips and the ones that expect it. This is definitely one that expects it. If you don’t want to always deal with that then spend a little more on the front end and book somewhere else. We stayed 5 days and tipped around $100 day easily. It’s all in your preference. That being said… we had a good time. I will be back to Cabo but I will come later in the year when it is a bit warmer. The water was cold. 🥶. Had to take jackets for nightly dinners. The whale watching this time of year was spectacular! I also will stay somewhere that is a little more secluded and nicer and just taxi in to the city center for entertainment.

    Great Massage on the Beach

If staying at Rui properties in Cabo and looking for a great massage, look for the sisters Estella & Laura. They do a great job and at a fantastic price. It is a mainly of 3 sisters and 2 brothers who do the massage and they are set up right in front of the Riu Santa Fe.
