Not a good experience
Terrible. Do not stay here, even if you really want to play Quivira. We had to wait until almost 6pm for our room to be ready. Then we had to wait another 45 minutes for our bags to be brought up. That is absolutely ridiculous after a long day of travel. It was a Monday check in, and they were not busy enough to require that much time. The rooms are small, extremely outdated, and uncomfortable. We booked a junior suite and although there is a nice view from the 6th floor, there is nothing else good about the rooms. The app did not work to view the in room services, including the menu for any room service. The front desk staff is RUDE. When I explained the problems they were condescending instead of helpful. They also said the app is “full” and only allows 50 people (WTF… why have an app for a hotel that houses hundreds if it has a traffic cap of 50?), they had no idea why it took extra hours to get the room ready, and were very condescending about our bags. It is all inclusive, but it is NOT good. The staff does not seem happy or like they want to help. They seem very unhappy. Go somewhere, anywhere else. This is a place for young adults that just want an all inclusive Cabo experience, don’t know good quality, and haven’t developed taste yet. It shows in the outdated, poor quality, the unhappy staff, and terrible service.

Bait and Switch
I can't review the rooms here because we never got to stay in them. Despite the fact that we had indeed booked here - drawn by the proximity to town, the swimmable beach, and local activities - we were informed on arrival that they had overbooked the hotel. So, they shoved us into a taxi and sent us to their sister resort - Pueblo Bonito Sunset - about 15 minutes away. The Sunset is fine, but it so isolated that it might as well have been in a different city. Swimming in the ocean is prohibited there. Even wading in the water is not allowed. There is a free shuttle that leaves a few times a day to the other sister resorts, but these are invariably booked, so the only reliable way to get to town is to pay for a cab. Otherwise you are stuck in what is essentially a cruise ship marooned on the side of a cliff. Not the experience we were looking for. If you actually have a preference about where you stay in Cabo, do not book with Pueblo Bonito. They will put you wherever they want.

Piece of Heaven on Earth!
This was the most beautiful, luxurious hotel we’ve ever stayed in! All the staff were so friendly, courteous and helpful. Amenities were outstanding. Hotel super organized and Adrian at the front desk was great! Very friendly and happy with his job!

Perfect Location on the Beach and Walking Distance to Marina and Town
Perfect location on the beach. Older property but kept up extremely well. Pool area is very nice and the sister hotel next door has a quieter pool which we enjoy. Beach is swimmable, which you will not get on the Pacific side. Food is overly pricey as they try to get everyone on the all-inclusive plan which we will not do - too many good restaurants in Cabo.

Great Vacation
Great resort with lots of pros and cons As a seasoned traveler I tend to set the bar pretty high. We booked back in November requesting connecting rooms and upon checking in were told that the resort doesn’t offer. They were gracious enough to upgrade us to a better room so our family could be together. HUGE plus! Rooms: definitely need to be updated as the shower had tiles falling off, furniture is very dated and floors can definitely use better cleaning Housekeeping; I would suggest better “Cleaning procedures”. The floors tend to be a little dirty especially those rooms with balconies Restaurants: Breakfast buffet each morning was amazing. Lots of variety, 2 omelet stations, Sunday brunch ++, Theme dinners buffet were so so, I would suggest making your a la carte dinner reservations these nights. Didn’t get the whole cover charge for certain restaurants, definitely a turn off when your a family of 6+. Attempted the sushi restaurant 2x and disappointed. Food was over cooked and not sushi grade fish. Highly recommend going to the 2 other on property restaurants. LOVED the pool menu. Lots to choose from Gym: we are a very fitness geared family. My son wasn’t allowed to be in gym with my husband since he was under age. Transportation/Offsite Activities: Highly recommend booking transfers through hotel. Private, nice vehicles and super convenient. We did the private boat and ATV… just be prepared for extra fees once you arrive. Dune buggy’s are worth the $ Overall: Great resort, staff were super friendly, swimmable beach MOST of the days but still very rough… beach vendor were annoying to put it mildly… night time…. Left to be desired (dangerous).
