    Lovely But Changed

    We returned to the hotel after a six-year absence. Our previous stay enticed us to return as we relished the quiet, out of the way, intimate feeling of the property. There were renovations going on six years ago that we thought meant the addition of some new rooms and one or two restaurants. Much to our surprise, the hotel has changed dramatically in ways that are probably appealing to many but not so much to us. Gone was the small, intimate property feel: Instead, the hotel has 8 restaurants to choose from which from a marketing perspective is a wise choice for them. The emphasis on gastronomy is apparent and provides guests with a range of cuisines all within the hotel property. However, with all of those choices, it was laughable that you couldn't get guacamole at the pool or at some of the other restaurants serving lunch outdoors. A little too "foodie" for our taste. We walked and ate all but one of our meals either down the beach or in La Crucecita and Santa Cruz, the nearby towns. That being said it's a lovely property, ideally situated to explore the Huatulco area.

    Turn down the music

    This is our fourth time staying here . Great hotel , great location and the staff are very friendly and helpful . Unfortunately this year a big negative for us was the loud music they play around the pools . We don’t go to AI for this reason and even though we asked and others as well if they could just turn the music down a bit they would do that for 5 minutes then the volume would go right back up again to this heavy base 70’s/ disco music . Most of the clientele are at least Middle Aged and older and most people trying to read books . Of course you have people in groups that are drinking in the pool . Fine . Play music just not so loud . The one other negative is for three years it cost us $.35 pesos by taxi to el Centro . Now the hotel is charging $.80 , that increase in one year . We walked out to the road and up to the Main Street to get our taxi . Everyone wants their cut now .

    Fantastic week!

    Beautiful smaller hotel with everything you need! Our room was wonderful, clean and located in the newer building. Thank you to the hard working staff that kept our room fresh and clean every day! The pools are wonderful, located right off the beautiful beach. Refreshing to swim in after siting in the warm sun. Special shout out to Daniel for taking care of us at the pool! The food at all the restaurants is amazing! Delicious, beautifully presented and served by an attentive and friendly staff. A special shout out to Hugo and his crew at Marea and our hostess and servers at Terraza Del Mar! Thank you all so very much! Thank you Charlie for the fun ride to the airport! See you all next year, for sure!! Marie

    Enjoyable stay, excellent hotel on the beach

    Great location and restaurants, room was very clean and staff was really good we had no trouble communicating, would have given a five star if the bed was better, it was well used, big depression where you slept and a big lump in the middle, would be nice to have a mini fridge in the room.

    Nice Stay

    Our First time to Hutulco,Jan 26- Feb 7th 2025. What an absolute Beautiful Place. Our stay at the Quinta Bella was lovely.An older hotel but very clean. We stayed in one of the newer rooms on the second floor facing the back of the building. Was a bit noisy as there is construction going on. Did find that the mades like to have there walky talkys turned right out,so that to was a little noisy first thing in the am down the hallways.There are no fridges in the rooms,which was a little discuraging, as its noce to have cold drinks or some Lache for coffee in the morning.We went to the Chedraui to buy a styrofoam cooler and ice to bring back to room,but ice melts fast..Other than those issues we had a great stay.. Very quite hotel and wonderful staff. Keep in mind that drinks are not included.The beach is beautiful but undortunatly you cannot stand and just hang out in the water as there is quite an undertow,so we decided on a 10 minute walk to Santa Cruz which we did a few times.We did not have the chance to go to all the bays of Hutuclo but we did make it to Antrega Beach which was absolutly amazing..We only ate at one of the 7 restaurants at the hotel as we are the type that like to venture out and try different beach places to eat.So i cannot say how the food was at the hotel, but we did hear good things while there.The Infinity Pool here at the hotel was great overlooking the ocean.Met alot of wonderful people here. Over all our stay was good and are looking forward to coming back To Hutulco again soon.. Bud and Stacie From Canada,B.C
