They sold me all inclusive, but when the hotel was not ready and under installation still -
The place was super new and the facilities were also clean and brand new, the people were extra nice and friendly. Here are the issues: 1 - we stayed 2 days after the opening: the food options were really poor. 2 - the hotel was empty. 3 - the gym was not set up. 4 - nothing at the beach was set up and there was no food at the beach. 5 - the alcohol is the cheapest type of alcohol you can’t find. When you pay for a premium experience you want a premium experience. 6 - Food quality was disappointing- we asked for a burrata and got regular cheese. Manny of the options were bit available. 7 - there was nothing to do or activities since the hotel was empty.

Amazing little resort, awesome staff, great food!
We just returned from an incredible 7-day vacation, and for anyone seeking a smaller, boutique-style resort, this is the place. Everything is brand new, from the lounge chairs to the amenities, but what truly made our stay special was the staff. There are too many outstanding team members to mention, but my personal "angel" was Leonela, one of the client reps. She went above and beyond for us—when Air Transat lost my luggage, Leonela personally took us to another resort to locate an Air Transat rep who could assist us. How amazing is that? The next day, she arranged a taxi to take us to a mall for supplies and even made sure we had a ride back. She also checked in with me daily via WhatsApp to help with restaurant reservations and other details—she was truly incredible. The food was fantastic, and if possible, I highly recommend booking a master swim-out room—it’s totally worth the extra cost! The resort has an intimate, welcoming atmosphere due to its size, and we had the pleasure of meeting some wonderful people.

Amazing family vacation!
Amazing stay at Zel Punta Cana. Extra thanks to Leslie at Parda, and the activity directors “El Fish” and David. Everyone was incredibly friendly and the staff overall was fantastic. The activities were all great, and restaurants were as well. Thanks all for a great family vacation!

Melia treats repeat customers very poorly
Garden Suites By Melia Bavaro Beach Disappointing At my check-in, I was asked for my VISA credit card which was already used for prepayment and my credit card company billed me. I didn't have the card with me and I was told that although I already paid, I would have to pay again. Fortunately, I had a different card with me and I was able to pay. Hansel at the desk refused to give me a statement that I would receive a refund. I was very upset. Also, although I had been Melia Punta Cana 19 times previously, when I booked this time I thought I would have a room in the Level area, and I was told it would impossible to change my current reservation. Although I have previously written many extremely Trip Advisor Reviews, this time it will be very negative Safe should work. More hand towels and wash cloths. There should be night table on both sides of the bed. The on/off switch for night table lamp should on the lamp, so the guest doesn't have to get out of bed to turn the lamp on or off The hallway staircase should be illuminated to avoid tripping and falling. Soap and shampoo dispensers should be in the shower area
