Sunset Kayak
10/10 would recommend the Sunset kayak that the ritz offers through their Ambassadors for the environment programs which was a great way to see the mangroves up close, they have a Super knowledgeable team with Fiona and Laura finding all the macro life hidden in the water.

The best trip with the best staff!
I could not have had a better experience. The staff in particular were truly amazing, the most friendly and kind people I’ve met. Abhishek made my trip so special and went out of his way daily to help me; Marco, Tarhata and Jocelyn were great too!

The most accommodating hotel
Sincerely the most accommodating hotel or resort we’ve ever been to. Four of our family members have gluten allergies and the staff went above to make sure we had what we needed. When my kids wanted smoothies at dinner, the wait staff found a way to make them mango smoothies. Just the type of service that is easy to overlook but very much noticed by our family. Friendly and helpful. We also loved the pools and kids areas. We will be back!

Great stay w small family
Stayed a week here just after Xmas and generally v much enjoyed experience w wife and teen daughter. Pros: -room was v comfortable, housekeeping was great, a nice and quiet retreat after days on beach or out and about. Were in a room on the first floor of non ocean side and walk to ocean did not really bother, plenty to do on that side as well w pool, restaurants spa gym etc. -spa and gym were both excellent, w lots of great options on offer, tennis facilities were great too. -Concierge was super helpful; easy to set up dinners and various excursions -staff in general was fantastic, super friendly, engaging, helpful, and lots of them. All well trained, noticeably good service across the board—common theme in lots of reviews but it’s true -food we had was all very good, room service a couple of nights, lunch on beach most days, breakfast, food was consistently great. Did not eat many dinners we various restaurants as wanted to pop around for some island flavor beyond ritz, but Japanese/italian/steakhouse on site which all looked good. Cons (not many) -only real criticism would be size of place—it’s big, and during a busy time of year, felt a little busy. You wouldn’t know it by the service which was consistently great—just busy on the beach/at the pool. It’s a big hotel and they do well w large group, but if you are looking for a super quiet isolated beach experience, prob not what you’re looking for. Beach was pretty tightly packed w chairs and people all week—pretty beach and generally a nice clientele, but just big and a little busy. Again, staff was great managing this as service was always terrific and we had a fun time regardless -not unexpected, but it’s all v expensive. Think $30 cocktails at the beach, $13 coffee drinks, v expensive spa services (though very good) all w 20% tip automatically added. You sort of expect it and just is what it is at a nice hotel on an expensive island, but a little sticker shock nonetheless, probably pushed us to explore the island a little more, where there was lots of v good food/restaurants at slightly more reasonable prices than ritz around the island. Net net, a geat family get away. paid a premium week after Xmas, but well run first class spot. Grand Cayman is a nice place, easy to get around w/ good infrastructure, nice restaurants , v safe, lots of friendly people and stuff to explore. Travel to and from very easy, small well run airport. Would go back.

Excellent family trip
We had a wonderful stay over the Christmas break. The service , food and gym were excellent. The beach is amazing. Even with the hotel at full capacity it did not feel overly busy. We were able to get chairs at all the pools and the beach. My kids are 5 and 7 and had the best time. They loved collecting signatures from the staff on their scavenger hunt. The New Year’s party was so fun and well done! The only complaint that I have and I feel that the property should change is they should have a kids club on property. They have the ambassador of events but I didn’t feel comfortable having my kids going around the property on various excursions. Also, some of the excursions involve water and by the ocean. I think it would be so much better if they turned the ambassador of events into a kids club with toys, games, arts and crafts and activities throughout the day
