This is my fourth visit to Tenerife this year,The Reception was very helpful when checking in, Rooms very basic, one day l had to clean up behind the door where the maid had swept lt to the door and left it, on two occasions come back at 5 o’clock and the door to our room was left open, breakfast was abysmal egg & beans ok, bacon was to hard to eat, Evening meal what a can l say, there’s not enough staff, go to a table waiting 25 minutes for a waiter to come and put your cutlery and glasses, this was most nights, a waiter smashed glass, 20 minutes still there, the bar staff work hard, but the shows, in several nights you will see the same entertainment twice in the week, don’t think l will be returning.

This was another stay at The Arecas, which is set in a perfect location, catering as an adult only Hotel. We stay in other 5* Hotels, and the Arecas hails as a favourite. The upkeep of the hotel and grounds are first class as are the staff, all so courteous and friendly. Only negative has to be around the charge for the room safe, (which is a must at any Hotel), as when staying with other high end Hotels, this is included for the duration of your stay. Otherwise, thank you to The Riu Arecas for a lovely stay and for looking after us so well.

Riu Arecas in Costa Adeje - WONDERFUL in every way
We can thoroughly recommend the Riu Arecas Hotel in Costa Adeje Tenerife. We wanted somewhere special to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary and we can truly say every aspect of our holiday in this beautiful hotel was fantastic. The facilities, food, location, our room and particularly the Riu Arecas Team were exemplary. We will certainly visit again in the future. Very difficult to single out any of the Arecas Team, but we must say that Roberto deserves a special mention. Thanks everyone at the Riu Arecas, you were all wonderful 😍😍

Peaceful and relaxing holiday
The hotel and all it's services were to a high standard. No fighting for sunbeds around the pools at any time of the day with places in the shade and sunshine, but we missed not having any music around the pools. The location meant that there were limited places to stroll with bars and shops unless you want to walk a lot further.

Beautiful hotel and peaceful location however this is not a four star plus. Still have plastic uncomfortable sun loungers sadly. The breakfast, always had queues for the omelettes and the scrambled eggs were sadly cold & sloppy , just like the mashed potatoes in the evening.
