Hotel Spring Break Policies - Student Groups/Spring Breakers (either groups or individuals, regardless of age) are not allowed at any time during the year. Guests disturbing or generating complaints from other guests or hotel may be removed from the property,
at their own expense. Parties in rooms are not permitted.
Minimum Age Condition: At least one person 21 years or older is required in every room during February thru May. The Hotel reserves the right of admission and may request guests show passport or official ID to prove age. During the remainder of the year, at least one person 18 or older is required in every room. Guests can and will be removed from the property at their own expense in case of any disturbance or complaint from other guests or hotel staff.

Nov 20, 2024Terrible service at the reception.
Terrible service at the reception. We asked for the room we were in last time. Dancol said it would cost $20. We gave him $10. He said it was not enough for the room we wanted. So he put us in a room where people were staying. We opened the keys and people were lying on the bed. Then they gave us a room where the toilet did not work. Then they gave us a room very far away where the toilet did not work, the safe did not work and the TV. We asked for it to be fixed. They said that the service would come within 20 minutes, but no one came. What happened to the service at this hotel? We were here last year, everything was great.

Nov 18, 2024Nexus Excursions from Riu Bambu
Stayed at Riu Bambu in Nov. Booked a tour with Nexus representative to Saona Island and Fun park. Received honest, accurate advice about both tours. VERY HELPFUL. I enjoyed talking with her I think her name was Raysa. I would highly recommend using her, if you are wanting to book any excursions during your stay at Riu Bambu.. Thank you Raysa, hope you are still at hotel when I return again in the Spring. Your client from Canada (Bill)

Fantastic 10 day holiday celebrating my husbands 50th, you get what you pay for so don’t visit if your expecting luxury. staff are all friendly, yes some more than others but that’s on every holiday I have been on, food is good, room did need updating but the location and value for money was perfect. Beach is gorgeous. After reading the reviews we were really worried but did not need to be, we had mixed weather but that’s not the resorts fault. (Could do more in the day activities if this is the case but I get the feeling the entertainment budget is quite small, they do a great job with what they have) Yes you do have to drink from plastic round the pool but you can take your own cups, (glass in main bar and restaurants) yes a lot of the entertainment in the main complex is in Spanish and all singers were which was a disappointment for anyone who could not speak the language and meant early nights but when stage entertainment was on it was brilliant, not west end but spot on. Tipping is not compulsory but you did see a difference in service from some If you did. Tui bar was as said great for some quiet (but forgotten by daytime entertainment staff) booking day trips is so easy the resort booked excursions were value for money. The Tui restaurant was a great place but menu did not change for 10 days so realistically you could not visit more than twice. Yes cocktails do start from pre made ice machines but alcohol is added. Room was cleaned daily to a high standard. Beach sellers are about but very well policed and are not intrusive nor do they come into resort. Could we pick holes yes but not for the price and value and great service we got. So much so we are booking again for next year. 24 hour food was provide as bar snacks etc the people using this facility made it a poor experience again not the hotel. Bags are taken to the room on arrival. The hotel does need a refurb but you can see maintenance happening and grounds staff work hard. The Italian and steak house are not aircon so on hot evenings take a fan. Like I say if your expecting pool side service, top shelf drinks and west end entertainment don’t book but if you want a fantastic holiday with a relaxed feel with no formality at meal times this is a brilliant place. Points I picked up just to help you plan there are onsite shops yes pricy but not bad, you can get gifts and snacks and essentials and inflatables etc, also a choice of clothes there are around 5 shops in fact, you only need American dollars everything on site and off site on day trips is dollars, do take an umbrella in November! Do take your own cup most people had the insulated ones to keep drinks cool, you don’t need trousers and shirts on an evening, if you do want to Riu party check the dress code although not compulsory you may want to get into the theme (pink, white etc) ask if something is not right they will help and try to make it right. Hope this is useful it’s a great place and value for money and lovely people.

Amazing resort
Best family trip we loved it thank you Riu Bambu for an amazing 7 days trip will definitely recommend this place to my family and friends. Thanks for the welcoming and hospitality
