This resort has both quiet and party pools. We stayed at the quiet pool and were pleased with the number of chairs and umbrellas available. The pool itself was a little on the cool side. Food was excellent and the bartenders did a great job.

Good resort to have fun and party
RIU Cancun is a great option if you are looking to have fun, party and stay close to all the downtown Cancun action. Location is good but beach area is not the best. The other side of the Hotel Zone is Cancun have better beaches. The beach here is rocky and small. Still beautiful though. Food options are great and above average hotels in the area. Buffet food is better than other hotels. The main thing are the RIU parties. They have all inclusive parties in their beach club area and these are definitely a must to attend! You will have a blast. Hotel rooms are dated and showing their age so do not expect great decor and room amenities. As long as you have your expectations defined, you will have a great time and enjoy the stay.

Will Definitely Book Again
My stay at the Riu Cancún All Inclusive Resort was WONDERFUL! The staff are so nice and friendly! I was offered a glass of champagne as I was checking in. It’s a great location where there’s excellent restaurants, grocery store, mall/shopping center, and convenience stores all within 2 minute walk off the resort. The room was nice but could use some minor upgrades. The ocean view balcony and the self serve alcohol dispenser with mini fridge definitely makes up for the room. The food at the resort was pretty good too for resort food compared to other resorts I’ve been to. They have a bunch of different restaurants on the resort to try! I definitely recommend checking out Kawachi (Japanese) and La Toscana (Italian). You also can’t miss Miramar’s breakfast either! The resort also has lots of cool activities, games, and shows throughout the day and night to keep guests entertained! I didn’t go this time, but they have Riu parties too which I heard were crazy fun! Riu Cancún has multiple pools and the most beautiful beach access. Now when it comes to the all the bars and drinks, they were a 10/10. They know how to get you feeling right. Plus they have staff who can take your drink order while if you’re waiting in the lobby or at one of their night shows…it was incredible! I would definitely recommend Riu Cancún to my family and friends. If you do go off the resort, YOU HAVE TO CHECK OUT Tacos Rigos! The GREATEST TACOS AND QUESADILLAS I HAVE EVER TASTED!
