Spring Break Policies -
1. Student / Spring Breaker Groups (21 years of age or older) will be accepted ONLY at Riu Cancun & Riu Caribe
2. All Student / Spring Breaker Group reservations are strictly On Request and will be reviewed on a case by case basis by the corresponding Destination Sales Department. RIU Hotels & Resorts reserves the right of admission and may reject any request at its sole discretion.
3. If a Student / Spring Breaker Group is accepted:
a. The number of rooms will be deducted from the contracted allotments
b. Minimum Age requirement: 21 years of age or older.
c. The Hotel may request proof of age in the form of passport or official ID
d. Each room must submit a signed liability agreement upon check-in.
4. At all other RIU properties Student Groups / Spring Breakers (either groups or individuals, regardless of age) are not allowed at any time during the year.
5. Guests disturbing or generating complaints from other guests or hotel may be removed from the property, at their own expense.
a. Parties in rooms are not permitted
6. Student / Spring Breaker Groups must comply with any protocols (hotel and government) in place at the time of stay at the hotel.
Transfer Policy - A price may display when children stay free, if your vacation includes transfer to your hotel.

I enjoyed my stay, all the amenities & staff were great. Everything was very clean. Rooms could use some upgrading but I will return again!

Stop the fu..ing kahoot
Could you please stop the Kahoot Challenge? We need a different kind of entertainment as that's more suited for kids. It would be great if you could send someone to Cuba or the Dominican Republic to get some lessons on organizing parties. We need to invite professionals to enhance our entertainment experience. It's time for something better.

Review We came home last night and wanted to share my review. First impression lobby is massive and very nice, but overall had more of a hotel feel to it and not a Mexican resort. Guess I’m more of a Riviera girl. Rooms are as many say dated, very clean but just an odd Motel 6 vibe to them. It seems that all rooms are connecting and the door between offers zero privacy, they are thin doors like you would have on a room at home. We could hear literally everything, even just them talking at normal volume. The first morning I was woken to my neighbors alarm clock. Second night we managed to change rooms so the connection was between us and our kids which we wanted anyway so that worked for us. Views were amazing but nothing else special in the room. Also found very noisy from the road. Not the resort fault but I don’t think I’d ever stay in hotel zone again. Beds not comfy or at least not to my liking. We did request more pillows and blankets which they brought up right away so that was nice. They do not refill minibar often, but there is the app to request anything you need. Food I found was actually fairly good. I am quite picky and not adventurous but found there was tons of choices and I always found something. Way more selection than I’ve seen before at all inclusives. Christmas Eve dinner was wonderful. We never made it to the restaurants as we didn’t care to wait in line so just went to buffet but that worked for us. Shout out to Moshan in buffet we looked for him each night to be in his section, such amazing service we adored him. The lunch poolside was great and very convenient. Drinks were very good, never seen martinis in a swim up before, lots of selection and not watered down at all. Pools were good, only thing that sucked is you loose sun so early behind the hotel and then it gets cold in pool. Loved the infinity pools, and being right at the ocean. Beach is very narrow but the sand and water is amazing. Lots of chairs and seemed even better once the “families” were gone and it switched over to adult only. However if u want sun get up early and reserve chairs closest to beach. I don’t usually play the chair game but you almost had to here to get chairs in the sun. They go quick, like 6-7am. Service was great, they all work so incredibly hard. I found the resort very clean. Never had a problem with elevators as some mention. Overall was good holiday but I won’t return. Not just the hotel but probably won’t stay in hotel zone again as it’s just too noisy. We could hear the music from coco bongo and Senor Frogs till quite late. Great having stores so close and convenient but have to run for your life to cross the street lol.

This was the perfect holiday. Would highly recommend this hotel. Have just booked another two weeks next july. Food was great and so much to chose from. Rooms were large and spotlessly clean, the view is something to remember. Staff were helpful and always friendly. Market and shops across the road. Coco bongo 10 minutes walk if that. Ferry to Isla Mujeres a must do. Jetskiing on the beach immediately outside. Relaxing hotel, great location. Cant wait to return.
