  Love the resort!

  This was our second trip to the resort, the first was a larger family group and we had such a great time we had to return. This trip was just 3 of us and the resort did not disappoint! We love the staff and have no complaints about the food, we thought it was great! How can you not keep coming back for the gorgeous view from the tower rooms ❤️❤️

  Riu Emerald Bay

  Very good all inclusive in Mazatlan. Although it is the biggest resort, when we went (late February) it was not too crowded. We could easily find open pool or beach chairs. Service very friendly. Food quality was quite good but not large variation from day to day. The Mexican restaurant was quite good but the Japanese / Asian was a buffet with the same selections you can get at the large buffet restaurant. You need to make reservations using their app for the restaurants - however it seemed that many times / dates were not available even though the nights we went to the restaurants they were 50% empty. One note is the wifi is not good throughout the resort - we ended up paying for cell service and roaming fees as the wifi was unreliable in the resort building and essentially non-existent at the pools and beach. Overall a decent resort - perfect for a 'do nothing but veg' vacation as there is not much to do in Mazatlan itself. Excellent value for what we paid. Would come back again.

  Family vacation

  Our first time in Mazatlan and first time staying at a Riu hotel. We were not disappointed. Our request to have rooms close to each other was accommodated as well as the use of a crib. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. No complaints about the food, although we did not get a chance to try the a la carte restaurants. This was of no fault of the hotel or staff. I would definitely consider another trip to this hotel in Mazatlan.

  Amazing as Expected

  This was our third time to re-Emerald Bay and it did not disappoint. The food was great. The ocean was great. The pools were great. The drinks were great. The rooms were great and we had a wonderful time. Our only complaint would be that the shower in the newer building at the corner of the building was not the greatest. Also, the room itself was wonderful, but the dresser stunk like somebody put their old socks in there for a week so we didn’t end up using that which was fine. The staff is always happy and smiling whether you tipped them or not, and the only thing that I would love to see different is if people tipped in pesos as there are good reasons for doing that one of them being that they can take those pesos home and buy groceries and not have to exchange US dollars I can’t see enough about this hotel and would recommend it to anybody.

  RIU Emerald Bay Stay

  Beautiful resort! location, pools, amenities, food, staff and entertainment were top notch. Very few minor constructive criticisms. Our room cards kept dying and not working on our room, had to get new ones at the front desk a number of times during our stay. Mini fridge in the room was supposed to be restocked every 2 days according to the room. It never was, we needed to request new waters when we ran out everytime.
