Everything was PERFECT : unlimited mimosa, white wine, red wine, food, restaurants (Milan was our favorite), our room, the bed very confortable, the BEACH…WOW…all drinks (Espresso martini was our favorite), animation, staff, spécial thanks to Elizabeth at the pool bar (lovely). We will definitely return to the Riu Latino. THANKS FOR ALL !!!!

Pack your bags and Go Go Go!
First things first: I have to say that the toilet paper at this resort is awesome! 😄 Now, onto the rest of the review… My friend and I (both males) stayed at RIU Latino for 7 nights and had an absolutely amazing time. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Samantha, who went above and beyond to upgrade us to a third-floor oceanview room with two beds in the building facing south. We initially had a courtyard view, so this was a wonderful surprise! I highly recommend booking a room in the south-facing building – the north-facing rooms overlook a new resort under construction (I believe it’s called Majestic). Our room was fantastic! Spotlessly clean, smelled fresh, and was incredibly quiet. The soundproofing was on point. The AC kept us cool, and the ceiling fan was a great bonus. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to rest after a day of fun. As for food and drinks, everything was solid. We’re beer drinkers, and I was thrilled to see DOS XX on tap (and cold, which is a huge plus). We also enjoyed a few cocktails and glasses of wine throughout our stay, all of which were well-made and tasty. Our favorite restaurants were the "Kulinarium" and "Steak" – we ended up visiting both twice. Pro tip: Ask for the mixed grill for two at the Steakhouse – the steak cut is great. The only downside to our dining experience was the "Milan" restaurant, which completely missed the mark during our visit. Unfortunately, the food and service were lackluster. But, the buffet more than made up for it later that evening – lots of variety and many delicious options. The Sport Club became one of our favorite spots too. It was our go-to in the mornings for lattes and espressos and our late-night stop for a nightcap before heading to our room. Big shout-out to Agustin and Luis Angel, who took fantastic care of us and always made sure our drinks were full and ready to go. Having stayed at multiple RIU resorts before, including the RIU Palace in Baja California Los Cabos and the RIU Republica in Punta Cana, I can confidently say that RIU Latino is my favorite. From the exceptional service, including the entertainment team’s involvement, to the fantastic pool and beach experiences, this resort really impressed me. I’m already planning my next visit! Tips & Recommendations for Your Stay: Download the RIU App: Download the app a couple of days before your trip, sign up, and familiarize yourself with the resort. It’s super handy for checking schedules and staying up-to-date with resort events. Reserve Pool Chairs Early: Pool chairs can get snatched up quickly, so if you want to snag a good spot, plan to set your towels down by 7 AM. I know it sounds early, but hey, it’s part of the resort game! 😂 Best Time for Dinner: Aim for a dinner reservation around 6:30 PM. The restaurants are much quieter at this time, so you'll get quicker seating and better service. Bring a Yeti or Insulated Cup: If you like your drinks ice-cold, especially beer, bring your Yeti or some other insulated cup to keep it chilled and always topped off. Cold at Night?: If it gets chilly at night, don’t worry! They have blankets in the closet for extra comfort. Visit Isla Mujeres: Definitely make a trip to Isla Mujeres and rent a golf cart. Spend the day at the North Beach—it’s a total blast!

Nelly is the best server at the buffet! She was so kind and took great care of us. She remembered where we sat and what our drink orders were every day! She is clearly a very hard worker. The resort was clean and taken care of. The pools were beautiful! Overall a great trip!

Nely is truly the best!
Nely is the best server at the buffet!! Thank you for being so wonderful! She was so attentive and treated us just like family. I would highly recommend her! The resort was clean and the staff were kind. Chairs by the pool are hard to get. The walk to the beach can be hard as the sand is deep and loose. Overall, good experience.

Amazing Resort!
Very clean, great food and wonderful staff! Got a complimentary upgrade when we checked in ! We will definitely return!
