Unfortunately not worth a return trip!!
It's an all inclusive yet it was hard to get service from anywhere. We went to the pool bar and couldn't get waited on...even though they were practically standing around doing nothing. You better get to the beach early if you want a chair because there were lots of empty chairs with towels and no one sitting there. Beach area in front of the hotel was smaller than expected. Food at the buffet was ok but I have had and seen better at other RIU locations. Overall experience for us was disappointing. The other reviews are correct when they say the staff isn't friendly. Unfortunately, next time in Aruba I will have to stay elsewhere.

Don’t come to this resort ! So bad
Disappointing Experience !!! I had high expectations for the Riu Palace Aruba, but unfortunately, it fell short in many ways. The service was shockingly poor for a 5-star hotel, and the overall quality felt cheap. The restaurants were especially disappointing—the food was terrible, and it seemed like they were actively trying to push everyone toward the buffet, which wasn’t great either ( once they take the 6 o’clock crowd they start telling guests that it will be a long wait to push away ). Definitely not worth the price or the hype. The staff at the front desk ( Lobby ) specially Neely were great and welcoming .

Excellent
Shortage and cleanliness of bathrooms in the main areas need attention. Hopefully they will make more bathrooms available near the beach and pool areas.

Definitely coming back
I’ve seen so many mixed reviews on this place to the point that we were going to cancel our trip but I’m so happy we didn’t. The resort is extremely clean and although the rooms are dated they are comfortable and have a good layout. The beds are a bit hard for my liking but my family didn’t mind. The maid staff was very friendly and always had our rooms cleaned before 12. When we went at the beginning of the trip they only had one elevator but by the time we left they had two working. It was a little frustrating waiting for it but we ended up using the stairs which is good for the heart 😜 The only i irritating thing about the room was the key cards …they would always stop working I recommend getting pouches and keeping them away from your cell phone and they tend to be OK. We ate at all the al la carte except the Steak house which although there were many tables available had no availability and although they don’t make reservations they had reservations. I think they should definitely look at considering booking actual reservations at all the restaurants. The buffet was very clean and always had a different variety of food to accommodate a lot of people. The wait stay was friendly and very attentive . We were at all the bars and they don’t have premium liquor but they manage to make very tasty cocktails their only downfall here is that they don’t have wait staff serving liquor at the beach. It really sucked even with the insulated cups getting drinks . The beach is breathtaking so clean, warm and there was always ample chairs. You do have to get up early to get the straw huts as people are just insane and go get them around 6is. As for the location it’s so good, so close to their strip which contains a wide variety of restaurants and shops. It’s extremely safe and a very good night light. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel we truly enjoyed our stay here and would come back.

Nice all inclusive…
I’d rank this resort 3.8/5, I think this is a fair score. Now, don’t be discouraged cause of my rating, I’m a difficult grader and think this score is still worth the visit. The food and beach are great. Best food I’ve had for an all inclusive resort. Hats off to the chefs! The hotel overall is nice. Decent for families and couples. The rooms are okay, nothing special. If you get a pool and beach view, expect noise until at least 11pm. But very nice view. If you get the room view of the construction, I can understand being upset by this. I’d suggest the hotel provide a discount or some incentive to those staying on that side and get ahead of the bad reviews and complaints. There is a jacuzzi hidden in the spa that is free for guests to use. Entertainment is weak, but if you like playing beach volleyball, it goes on all day. If a vacation to you is laying on the beach, drinking and eating, nothing wrong with this place. If you expect more, I’d try somewhere else.
