Jan 29, 2025Great views while relaxing and having fun
Went with family of eight adults and we had a mix of all types of vacarioners. RIU managed to handle all of us. My favourite for food was the buffet as I like a mix of all styles of food. Favourite dessert was tre leche cake at Mexican specialty restaurant. Be sure to ask for your margarita with the tequila you like as they had about 12 types of tequila.

Everything from service and cleanness was the great
We highly recomend this Riu and every Riu in Los Cabos. Everything depends on the purpose of your stay. We are traveling without our kids so we had what we expected. Great time together.

Great Stay!
Our flight home got cancelled due to a freeze and snow in Houston. The Hotel accommodated us for 2 + nights without issues. The staff is great! The rooms are great! The experience was great! This was our 2nd time at this resort and we will be back!

Just returned from five nights at the Riu palace Baja California. My wife and I were there January 19-24 . Overall the resort was very nice well kept . Staff were amazing, very attentive, five star for that . There was always someone there to help with something or get you a drink . Food was pretty standard, we liked the Asian a la carte restaurant the best- it was nice that there was 5, and you didn’t need to make reservations for them. Entertainment was not great at night either you could go to the sister resort for a big party (not for us ) or they just played football most of the time on the big screen. There was karaoke a couple times but we were hoping for some shows.

2nd time at this Riu- good, but...
Overall, we enjoy this property. This is the second time at the Riu Palace Baja... The rooms and property overall are kept extremely clean. The buffet restaurant food this time was still excellent; however, our group was overall pretty disappointed in the specialty restaurants this time around - they just were not as good as when we were at this location a year ago. Keep in mind, this is adults only and there will be people out to enjoy themselves - we like this aspect about this place. It is fun. Some guests clearly didn't like that but we do. By far, my biggest disappointment this time around was the fitness center. When we were at the property a year ago, the same piece of workout equipment was Out of Order as it also was still Out of Order this time, a full year later - but worse, two additional pieces of workout equipment were now Out of Order. Just as last time, this fitness center stays pretty busy and occupied, so you need to keep it maintained. This was really disappointing. I would return, but if I come back and the fitness center is a wreck again, that'll be the final.
