Feb 25, 2025Great hotel - highly recommend.
Great hotel to visit! Room 6221 was spacious, immaculately clean, and serviced daily. When the coffee wasn’t being restocked, I requested it through the app, and by the time we returned to the room, it was already there. There was plenty of space around the pools—no need to worry about towels reserving beds at 6 AM! The staff were lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful. I didn’t actually see anyone cleaning the pool at any time, but the facilities and water were spotless, so perhaps they did it when I wasn’t around. The food felt repetitive at times, but the à la carte restaurants more than made up for it. The quality there was outstanding, and the steakhouse comes highly recommended. Overall, it was a very relaxing and satisfying holiday with no mishaps or issues.

AMAZING TIME AT THE BAVARO PALACE
We had a great week! The resort is BEAUTIFUL. The grounds are IMMACULATE. Zero bugs, animals, etc. etc. The rooms are spacious and clean always. We had a Junior Connecting Suite with Garden View & it was perfect for our family with (2) teens. The staff at the hotel are AMAZING & friendly always. Jesus at the Breakfast Buffet welcomed us every morning with his smile & "HOLA MI FAMILIA!" When we were leaving on our final day he chased my kids down to say goodbye and it's all they talked about the whole flight home - Jesus is missed. Esmerelda at the Steakhouse hostess station is accommodating and kind! She always got us in for dinner! The food is what you'd expect at an all inclusive resort & we had no complaints - there was always something for everyone. The beach is clean & the pools are too - we never struggled to find chairs at either and didn't have to rush down every AM to save our seats. The room service was prompt and always available & the housekeeping always provided us with clean towels, turned our beds down, made flowers out of the sheets and made us feel right at home. The resort is very big and you can walk around from hotel to hotel. WE CANNOT WAIT TO RETURN!

A great Vacation at the RIU Palace Bavaro
We stayed at the Riu Palace Bavaro in February. The hotel was completely remodeled in 2024, and boy was it great. The rooms sparkled and the lobby and restaurants were awe-inspiring The food was excellent at all of the restaurants and the buffet. Ricardo, one of the baggage handlers was invaluable and even made a new band for my wife's watch after hers broke. Lucien, one of the management team was always helping travelers including us. The hotel is very lucky to employ her. We had some trouble getting home but with Lucien's help pressuring the Nexus representative, Pablo, we finally were able to leave, I would highly recommend this Hotel, but I would not recommend Sunwing Airlines.

Beautiful clean resort, friendly staff, excellent amenities. Fairly large but not overly so. We enjoyed our Elite upgrade in Villa 43 which was close to the pools and beach. Meals were very good at Zen and the Steak house. The nightly buffet was just okay. I found the meats to be quite dried out. The food court is an excellent idea and the stations were very good, esp the Wok, Tico Taco and Pizza. These ladies and men are working so hard in the heat but always have a smile. I didn’t enjoy the Sweet station but my kids did! Loved the cappuccino bar. Angela made our Capps every morning and she had the friendliest smile. The entertainment staff work very hard. In fact, I thought all staff were very busy, friendly and accommodating throughout the day. The lobby is beautiful and the grounds are very well kept.

Newly renovated Palace Bavaro is the best mix of fun and relaxation
We stayed in the Villas in the Deluxe Superior Junior Suite (non elite/ no swim out) Top floor 4035. This seems the best value for the experience. Great access to the restaurants and pools. Excellent views of the ocean and pool areas. Food was very good at the buffet. We also had excellent food at the steakhouse and Asian restaurants. The staff makes you feel welcome everywhere. Don’t miss the booze cart features after dinner. Hector and the other mixologists earn their tips. “See you 5 minutes” The resort has the right mix of party and chill. A bonus was getting to see the Michael Jackson show again in the performance theater. We wouldn’t hesitate to return to this resort again.
