    Great location!

    I went to the Riu Jamaica with a group of 5 girls for a long weekend. The location of the resort is great - very close to the airport. The property is nice, the outside is fabulous. Why I Gave it a '4': We had booked this trip 6 months in advance, and 3 days before our check in I got an email from the resort (a person named Anastasia) letting me know that there had been a system issue and the room I initially booked (ocean view) was not going to be available for my stay. This was very disappointing. I exchanged several emails with her regarding the situation, and at one point she simply stopped responding, which I found quite unprofessional. That aside, once there, the resort and the staff were great. Rooms were a little outdated, but the beach and pool made up for that. We were in the hall very close to the 24-hour bar and it was quite noisy throughout the night, but it wasn't terrible. There were a few members of the staff that were really great - Kayanne (outside bar), Odain (outside bar and main bar) and BiggieDon (inside dinner buffet) - they made the trip amazing!

    Another great visit to the RIU Palace Montego Bay

    We have been coming to the RIU Palace Montego Bay for over a decade and it never disappoints. During our most recent trip we were treated very well right from our arrival. The front desk staff are most helpful and made us feel special returning to their hotel. At breakfast and lunch Mr. Audley served us with class and attention to detail. Dr. Phil always had a smile and his singing added to the ambiance. Mr. Grand made sure we were served in all areas and assisted in seating in the restaurants. David the lifeguard was very friendly and kept the pool area immaculate. Johnny Bravo the new "Dr. Fun/Fun" offered a variety of activities to participate in. All of the cleaning staff work very hard behind the scenes to keep the hotel sparkling. Our housekeeper Nicole kept our room stocked and spotlessly clean. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the fall.

    Excellent Entertainment Staff

    My wife and I really enjoyed our trip. The best part was the entertainment staff they had each day. All of them did a great job with their high energy. I can honestly say they were the highlight of our trip. If you are looking for great staff and relaxing by the pool, this place is for you!

    Riu Palace Jamaica - Great Stay at a Great Property with Excellent Staff!

    We just came back from a one week stay at Riu Palace Jamaica in early FEB2025 and were super happy with the trip! A few notes/highlights: - Staff were incredible; we didn't have a single negative interaction with anyone! A few highlights were Dr. Phil at the breakfast and lunch buffet; Shania and Fifi (I think?) at dinner buffet; Archer at lobby bar; Ewan at pool bar. There are a lot more names to add here but I don't remember them right now unfortunately...great experience overall! - The rooms are comfortable but a little dated; no real quality issues but could just use a refresh - The hotel was super clean EVERYWHERE (rooms, restaurants, pools, beach, etc.). Great job by the staff - Food was amazing at almost all the restaurants and the buffet. Only restaurant that could probably use a menu refresh is the Italian. - Only small negative (out of their control) was the jellyfish in the beach. Not sure if a seasonal or out of the ordinary thing, but there must have been a lot in the water as our group of 6 was stung at least 10+ times over the 7 day period. Didn't necessarily stop us from going in the water, but was something you always had in the back of your mind when swimming. Overall was an unbelievable experience and we will definitely be back. A++++

    Enjoyed our stay

    We were there SuperBowl weekend and enjoyed our stay. I wish we would have known about the all white party. We spent more time at Riu Montego Bay for pool and activities.
