Fantastic All Inclusive at a Reasonable Price
My daughter and I chose this all-inclusive to experience the Bahamas without the crowds and expense of Atlantis. We were on the beach in a spacious room with a water view and we were able to experience a snorkeling and swimming with pigs excursion almost as if we had been at Atlantis. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the food was fabulous! Everyone went way out of the way to make it feel special over the Christmas holiday.

Everything was amazing
I really don't understand people who write bad reviews about this hotel. We liked absolutely everything- great food, nice helpful staff, great evening shows, cleanliness. Perhaps the hotel needs a small restoration of the rooms, but I'm sure they will do it soon. I would also like the bed linen and pillows to be of better quality. Overall, a great hotel!

Not the Christmas gift we wanted
Just getting home from a four night stay. The best thing about this hotel was the service. The people are great. The hotel, not so much. We paid around $3400 for 4 nights. At that price point I had certain expectations that weren’t met. For one the food is not good. We only ate at the buffet because The speciality restaurants were booked. We tried the jerk station by the pool and that was worse. How they were booked already is beyond me because you can only book two days in advance and we couldn’t book anything before arrival on the app. The drinks aren’t much better. Cheap spirits in the room. The bars made mediocre drinks at best. Pina coladas tasted like banana daiquiris. How you can mess up a pina colada in the Caribbean is beyond me. We picked this place because it was all inclusive but ended up going to the Atlantis for good food so we would have been better off staying in a nicer hotel. The floors were so greasy and slippery I’m surprised I didn’t see anyone fall. The whole lobby smelled like the water in the shower. Not good. The cappuccino bar doesn’t open until 10 and it was the worst cappuccino I’ve ever had. Worse than hotel room coffee. We paid for a suite that faced the parking lot and had no balcony. There’s no carpet anywhere so everything is super loud including outside the room. You can hear everything. Our room was next to the ice machine so that was fun. And the last night there they gave someone else our room so we were woken up by someone trying to get into our room. The bed was very thin and uncomfortable. Water pressure in the shower was non existent and hard to regulate the hot water. There was rust all over the shower hinges. I’m trying to think of everything I can to help others make a better decision. This was our Christmas gift to ourselves so I’m very disappointed. We made the best of it by spending a lot of time and money at the Atlantis. We went on a pirate jeep tour and took a taxi down to the cruise port. Anything to get out of the hotel. For almost $900 a night I expect a lot more. We won’t be back.

Not bang for your buck, but an EXPLOSION
The property was beautiful. Lots to do on the beach. The pool was really nice with a swim up bar. The food was really good. The food at the specialty restaurants could have been made by a Michelin starred chef. Excellent staff. Nothing is ever problems with them.

Roach filled Riu
The hotel has roaches throughout! My family and I shared the family suite but had to move because there were roaches in the room! To our surprise, we were greeted with roaches in the hall and inside the next rooms! Also, saw roaches crawling on the artwork in the steakhouse restaurant. The hotel is completely aware and do not hold themselves accountable! Ruined our trip and refused even a partial refund!!! I suggest finding somewhere else to stay!
