Everything was as expected it is our second time there and already planning to come back for a third time. Right from the service, to the food and friendly staff we enjoyed every minute . The beach is top notch and couldn't have been more impressed

Great resort
January trip with hubby, daughter and her boyfriend. We all enjoyed it and would recommend this resort. Mike and Vanessa did a great job serving cocktails on the beach. They were extremely friendly and hard working. Ishema at the breakfast buffet provided outstanding service as well. The beach is beautiful, the food is good and the rooms are clean. Can’t wait to return!

Best Beach Resort in Jamaica
RIU Palace Tropical Bay All-Inclusive Resort – Best Beach Resort in Jamaica My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at RIU Palace Tropical Bay All-Inclusive Resort in Villa 1 in Room 1310 from January 7-16, 2025. This was our second visit, having stayed here exactly two years ago. As avid beachgoers, we can confidently say that Bloody Bay is, by far, the best beach we’ve experienced in the Caribbean—an opinion formed after more than 25 years of vacationing across various Caribbean islands. Among the many resorts we’ve visited, RIU Palace properties consistently stand out as our favorites, and this one is no exception. One unique feature we truly appreciate is the presence of screens on the balcony sliding doors—a rarity even at other 4- and 5-star resorts. This thoughtful detail is invaluable for us, as we prefer fresh air over air conditioning and can sleep with the balcony door open, free from the worry of mosquitoes or other bugs. Highlights of Our Stay • Exceptional Management and Staff: The resort is impeccably managed under Julia Casas. The front desk personnel under the leadership of Dwight Lawrence were welcoming and attentive, making our stay truly enjoyable. • Dining Excellence: The buffet and à la carte restaurants offered delicious food with great variety. The wait staff went above and beyond to cater to all guests' needs. • Spacious, Well-Maintained Rooms: The accommodations are generous in size, thoroughly cleaned, and refreshed daily with care by the housekeeping staff. • Ample Sun Loungers: Whether by the three pools or on the beach, there were always plenty of sun loungers available at any time of day—no need to wake up early to reserve one! • Activities and Entertainment: The resort offers an abundance of activities, including yoga, Zumba, aerobics, volleyball, beach parties, live music, chess, ping-pong, sailing, paddle boarding, and pedal boats. The activities team does a fantastic job engaging guests. • Charming Atmosphere: With its six three-story villas, the resort feels intimate and inviting, avoiding the overwhelming scale of large, high-rise resorts with thousands of rooms. • Beautiful Landscaping: The lush, well-manicured grounds enhance the resort’s relaxing and tropical charm. One Notable Drawback Unfortunately, one persistent issue detracts from the otherwise wonderful experience: many guests do not adhere to the no-smoking policies. Smoking occurs in rooms and on balconies, with people smoking cigarettes, cigars, and marijuana (which is legal in Jamaica). This was an issue during both of our visits and significantly impacted our ability to fully enjoy our stay. If it weren’t for the smoking issue, we’d gladly give this resort six stars. However, as it stands, we rate it 4 stars due to this recurring problem. Final Thoughts Despite the smoking concerns, we’d like to extend our gratitude to the incredible front desk staff, the hardworking team of servers, and the outstanding management led by Julia Casas.
