Good Hotel in Great Location
This was our first visit to this hotel last November but have been coming to Lanzarote for over 30 years. We are regular Riu guests, now Gold Status, soon to be Diamond. The Paraiso is the smallest Riu we have stayed at. Only 2 speciality restaurants instead of the usual 3. The entertainment room was a reasonable size but has a very small stage. Nether the less the entertainment team did a fantastic job both with the shows and daytime activities. They were probably the best team we have seen. Very professional but at the same time very friendly and had a great rapport with the guests some of which were obviously repeat guests. They don’t do the White/Neon Party nights here though. We stayed in the main building overlooking the pool and above the restaurant. We had sun on our balcony in the morning but I liked to get a sun bed by the pool. The favourite spots were usually reserved by 7.30am but there were plenty to go around. The hotel is conveniently situated for the bus stops and walking into Puerto Del Carmen & Matagorda. There was a good choice of food and pretty much identical to other Riu hotel’s. We ate several times in both the Asian & Canarian restaurants. We enjoyed the Canarian one the best. All the staff were very friendly and helpful with exception of the older lady on reception who was quite surly and unhelpful with an issue that my membership hadn’t been updated to show I was a gold member. I went back to reception a couple of evenings later and spoke to the Duty Manager who did a printout of both our loyalty records and talked us through where the problem had occurred which has now been corrected and I’m in receipt of my gold card. On checkout we were served by the same surly receptionist. I mentioned that I hadn’t received my gold status gift that I was promised by the duty manager. Her response was a shrug of shoulders! Oh well, better luck next time lol! Would we go back, yes absolutely. Probably later this year. One request I would like to make, it would be nice if there was a black pepper mill or 2 in the restaurant. I didn’t find one.

Wonderful stay
We have just returned from yet another stay at this fabulous hotel . We cannot recommend this hotel enough. Everything from the moment you arrive is perfect. The hotel is ideally situated by the beach and a short walk to bars , restaurants and shops should you wish to use these. The hotel is immaculate, well staffed , well run and everyone who works there is a credit to the RIU organisation. The food is excellent. Plenty of choice , speciality restaurants in clean , pleasant surroundings. Everything was served hot , fresh and well presented. We would recommend this hotel for anyone seeking top class service with a smile . If we had one complaint it would be the fluctuation of the water temperature in the shower . It went from cool to very hot very quickly and often . Well done and thank you to all the team at this hotel . We will be back .

Third visit in twelve months
Just returned from a brilliant holiday at this fantastic hotel. We are a group of eight friends and this is our third visit in twelve months. We are definitely returning soon. The staff at this hotel have to be the best in all the hotels we’ve stayed in. Nothing is too much trouble they are so helpful even when they don’t need to be. To mention a few in the restaurant Valdi,Nurisa Manoli and a special mention to the under manager Pablo who was very professional and very helpful.. The bar Joel ,Carlos and a couple of the ladies we didn’t manage to get their names. The food in the restaurant is high in quality and the selection unbelievable.Last but not least the best entertainers in Lanzarote.Oasis duo. They had four shows while we were there they are brilliant,we always have fun with them and have become friends.

Enjoyed every day
Good location, near beach and bus stop. Everybody was friendly and service ice oriented. Everything was maintained and cleaning was of very high standard. Variety of food was to our liking.

Lovely stay
Second visit to this hotel and third one booked for next year. We stayed in the ‘Lanzarote” hotel as this is 2 hotels in one, had an amazing sea view apartment with 2 balconies, superb room. 4 pools and 2 are heated, aquatic aerobics and other games available every day. The food was really good for all inclusive, couldn’t fault it really, we had 10 days and didn’t feel that we got to that what are we going to eat stage, really enjoyed it all. The bit we love is the location, to the left of the hotel you can walk about 2 miles along the promenade, with the sea and beach all the way, to the old town, this has recently had a refurb and is lovely for walking/biking, you can walk right the way to the bottom of the airport runway and beyond. We didn’t go further than this but I think you can cycle the route right around to Arricife. If you come out of the hotel and go right you can walk another 2 miles or more all along the ‘strip’ where there are loads of bars, shops and restaurants, and beach areas, have had some lovely meals here, really lovely and great shops, walk right to the end 👍🏻 Also the buses are brilliant, a bus for 2, to Playa Blanca, stood right outside hotel, about 45 mins, €5.50 for 2 each way and roads are amazing,,, no potholes!! From the hotel you can also catch the bud straight to Teguise, same price for 2 and then back to Arricife where the only tall building on the island is, so easy and so much culture to see and enjoy, and as for the weather, they class January as their winter, well we had blue sky 8 days out of 10 and temperatures of 22-25” lovely and warm, but the evenings were quite cool, which was expected. The grounds are so clean and well looked after, and going across from the second hotel for meals was great for us as nice bit of exercise if having a pool day ☺️ Highly recommend ☺️
