Staff is overly accommodating. Has 3 designated smoking spots . Food is over the top even for the buffet. Housekeeping and mini bar restocking is prompt. And awesome place to chill and relax or sit back and watch the entertainment. 24 hour lobby bar for those who can't sleep

Resort was clean and rooms were adequate. Bed was hard and had a hard time sleeping. Food at the buffet was great. Steak house was always booked but glad we didn’t choose to eat there. Heard it was overrated and food was meh. Had friends book the beach dinner while we were there, lobster was rubbery and over cooked. Steak was also over cooked. Did not get what you paid for. Pool bars were well stocked and bartenders were great. Overall we all had a great time and would book again.

From start to finish this holiday was Amsterdam staff go above and beyond for you and hotel was perfect for us

Firstly positives the staff at all the restaurants are amazing including the swim up bar staff Margarita . They seem to remember your drink orders from the day before and your glass is never empty. The hotel and grounds are kept clean. Food is very good and was always hot plenty of choice. Negatives Lack of beach towels twice at 11am we were told they had run out of towels and we’re waiting for more to arrive which took another hour and half, we have never been to a hotel before that runs out of towels in the morning and this is not acceptable. Lack of shade on the beach no parasol s at all everyone trying to get seats under the few palm trees to get out of the sun. Not everyone wants to sit further up the hotel on the concrete to get shade. I have never been to a 5 star hotel where the cocktails all come out of containers already mixed up or are all like slush puppie mix. Why have they not got a bar that makes proper cocktails . Only member of staff we found unhelpful was a lone member of the customer service desk at the side of reception one day when we had issues with the app trying to book restaurants together for two rooms previously another member of staff had booked them for us but he didn’t want to know. Also totally unhelpful when asking if we could do anything in room as husband had a special birthday whilst there asked about having some bubbles in room to be bluntly told we don’t do bubbles will see what housekeeping can do wasn’t expecting it for nothing would have been happy to pay. Luckily the housekeeping staff were amazing room was decorated and breakfast staff Jody-Ann had decorated our table gave us a cake and all staff sang Happy Birthday to him they made up for the grumpy unhelpful only member of staff we found. Due to the negatives we found it has put me off going to a Rui again if they do not have bar staff that make fresh cocktails and run out of towels at 11 on more then one occasion l would not class this as Five Star

The amazing staff is what makes this place so great !! I will definitely be returning and recommending this hotel to my friends and family when they plan to visit Montego Bay
