Stay somewhere else

We have traveled alot. And this is the worst all-inclusive we have stayed at. The rooms are small and you won't get your drinks refilled. The resort isn't clean at all. The food is the worst. We have tried them all. There is only 1 5 star restaurant to dine in at night. And you have to stand in line for ND hour or more to get reservation. And none of the food has a beautiful presentation like all other resorts. Stay somewhere else.

Great hotel on a budget

I am 39 y/o and went with friends on a Bachelor Party. If you are looking for good food, ok rooms and service, great shows and lots of fun, then this place is for you. If you have high standards when it comes to the room accommodations or want more of a high end experience then I would look elsewhere. Overall we had a great time and everything went relatively smoothly. Not everything worked at the moment, but the service team always found a solution after the speed bumps. Beach, pool and bars were really nice! I recommend more for the younger crowds.

Long awaited return to Riu Republic

This was my fourth trip to the Riu Republica. First time since Covid, but I was not disappointed. The buildings all look amazingly the same. Same great, friendly service. Sadly it was American spring break. Mom and I are a bit old for that crowd, but it did not hamper our fun! So many beach chairs and available shade! The overall food was great. Some disappointments with the specialty restaurants, but only if we’re being picky. We were well fed every day. Sadly the linens, while super clean, should be updated. But the mattresses were new, and the pillows spotless. You could smell the clean every day and I saw housekeeping at work and they didn’t miss a step. I’d seen some posts about troubles with the AC in the rooms, but I wonder if those people had been to a Caribbean resort before. No, it isn’t up to US standards, but it’s so hot and humid in the DR, it’s to be expected. We were turning it off every night so we wouldn’t be too cold. We had a great time. Received excellent service and a celebrated her birthday there. She loved it. We plan to go back again next year.

I missed my flight and didn't arrive until the next day. They gave me no hassle, everything went as planned!! Staff was very friendly and helpful!!

Terrible customer service with all inclusive disgusting food

I felt like I was trapped in a hotel from hell with terrible customer service and even more disgusting food. My room had 4 electric outlets and only one worked. Outdated facilities in need of maintenance. Please do not waste your time and money in this place. The only thing that made my vacation enjoyable was the beach and family.

Hotel Spring Break Policies :

1. Student / Spring Breaker Groups (21 years of age or older) will be accepted ONLY at Riu Santa Fé hotel.

2. All Student / Spring Breaker Group reservations are strictly On Request and will be reviewed on a case by case basis by the corresponding Destination Sales Department. RIU Hotels & Resorts reserves the right of admission and may reject any request at its sole discretion.

3. If a Student / Spring Breaker Group is accepted:

a. The number of rooms will be deducted from the contracted allotments

b. Minimum Age requirement: 21 years of age or older.

c. The Hotel may request proof of age in the form of passport or official ID

d. Each room must submit a signed liability agreement upon check-in.
