This was a great resort. There was something for EVERYONE! If you have kids there are quiet pools and activities. If you like action, there are nightly shows and day parties even fun from the sidelines! One thing I think would be a great addition ( if the hotel reads this) . even though it would be messy.. is popcorn. It’s cheap and most like it. I missed having salty snacks. The food tasted good but was most often cold but we certainly didn’t go hungry. There was a women serving by the stage bar who was so fantastic, I’m sorry I didn’t get her name! She’s a great drink maker. Omar at reception was the best! He helped us convert our points for an upgrade. He is WONDERFUL! I’ve been to lots of all inclusive resorts and most ranked higher than this one but Riu Santa Fe has been my favourite so far. I will definitely recommend to friends!

The hotel is very nice, staff were very accommodating. Kids friendly. Just couple of upgrades, toddler slides, make the pool a little deeper, my 3 yr old keeps bumping her back at the edge of the slide. Also add kids playground.

What a great time
We love this resort. The renos and upgrades were great even though it has turned into an absolute party resort. The beds could use an upgrade as they are very firm and not very comfortable.

Beautiful clean property with good food and staff BUT its party time ALL the time, and is no place for families or couples seeking a relaxing vacation. WHY? 1. Disgusting behaviour by young people (ages 18-40) A guest pulled his pants down to photobomb a pic a little girl was taking of a cat. Inexcusable!! Twice in the middle of the night we had partiers on our main floor patio banging on the sliding door. We complained and asked for security to be on the pathways during the night, but to no avail. Unacceptable dirty sexual sayings on hats, t-shirts and hat bands not to be seen by anyone, especially children who can read. Screaming and partying in ALL the swim up pools during the day. Conflicting loud music by guests who bring their own music to play. 2. Noise level - you cannot escape noise during the day or night. There is NO quiet place to relax and get away from it. IF YOU ARE SEEKING THE QUIETEST ROOMS, IT WOULD HAVE TO BE VILLA 1. FOR FAMILIES ASK FOR VILLA 8 CLOSEST TO THE KIDS WATERWORLD. OTHERWISE EXPECT NOISE 3. Beach is a disappointment. The vendors are relentless in front of the property, and the beach is barely walkable. The sand is coarse and the shorefront is severely slanted, makes it hard to walk. It gets better closer to the marina 4. Weather in January is cool. Jackets needed until 10am and after 5pm.

Great vacation
Exceeded our expectations. Service was excellent. Premises were so clean. Lots of food selections. Hats off to Raul in El Torote breakfast and also Maria, who deserve mention. They looked after our family of 6 so well!
