Check-in Policy - Deposits or credit/debit card hold authorizations are not requested at check-in. "Minimum age of 18 is required for check-in, an ID/Passport will be requested upon arrival.
Convention Policy : Groups traveling together can book this property for their stay taking advantage of group benefits such as 6th or 11th complimentary guest, Group dinner reservation, One complimentary cocktail hour with a selection of appetizers, One complimentary massage for the group leader, Complimentary room upgrades to the next category, Fruit plate and bottle of wine for the VIP, Private check-in when arriving together, Welcome sign. Spring Break Policies -
1. Student / Spring Breaker Groups (21 years of age or older) will be accepted ONLY at Riu Santa Fé hotel.
2. All Student / Spring Breaker Group reservations are strictly On Request and will be reviewed on a case by case basis by the corresponding Destination Sales Department. RIU Hotels & Resorts reserves the right of admission and may reject any request at its sole discretion.
3. If a Student / Spring Breaker Group is accepted:
a. The number of rooms will be deducted from the contracted allotments
b. Minimum Age requirement: 21 years of age or older.
c. The Hotel may request proof of age in the form of passport or official ID
d. Each room must submit a signed liability agreement upon check-in.
4. At all other RIU properties Student Groups / Spring Breakers (either groups or individuals, regardless of age) are not allowed at any time during the year.
5. Guests disturbing or generating complaints from other guests or hotel may be removed from the property, at their own expense. a. Parties in rooms are not permitted
6. Student / Spring Breaker Groups must comply with any protocols (hotel and government) in place at the time of stay at the hotel.
Transfer Policy - A price may display when children stay free, if your vacation includes transfer to your hotel.

Jan 03, 2025Overall, a good vacation experience. Could have been better!!
The major negative point, was the service in buffet restaurants, most of the time, We encountered empty bins/trays that was not refilled for a long time , specially during peak dining hours, which I have never experienced in a buffet.

Worst experience ever. The couple next door named Nick and Amanda got into a hysterical fight all night long from midnight until 6:00 a.m. I called the front desk every hour from midnight to 6:00 a.m. and they did absolutely nothing. Riu Santa Fe should have done something about this. This was the fourth time that I had been to this place with my family and the last. When I was checking out the person at the front desk told me that this happens at least a few times a week. I would not risk staying at a place like this again to ruin your vacation. They will tell you to send a complaint into their email but they never respond to it. Just like they never respond to the disturbance that night. Seems like a common theme with Riu.

We had a fabulous trip and other than our room being really close to the Party pool and some really bad roast beef one dinner we had a fabulous stay. We will look at trying other Riu resorts in trips to come. Gracious

Pleasantly Surprised
After reading too many reviews for the Riu Hotel Santa Fe, I started to somewhat dread this trip. However, my motto 'Prepare for the Worst, Hope for the Best' paid off. I went in with eyes open (prepared for survival and way overpacked). I was pleasantly surprised. Beds are not very comfortable; food is mostly bland but there are so many options - you will find something you like; bottled water and drinks are in good supply & never had issues with refills. Rooms and common areas are kept clean. Birds and flies are inevitable- our kids loved eating near the birds (bonus for bird watchers). We were a party of 3 adults and 3 children - no one got sick, nothing stolen from room, did not hear unusually loud noise from parties, nor did we experience drunken people roaming about (granted we retired early evenings and woke up early for beach sunrises), enjoyed talking to and buying from very hard-working beach peddlers. All the staff seem to take pride in and appreciate their work. Enjoyed our vacation, amazing views, perfect sunny days!

Amazing for a family or group holiday!
We've stayed at several All-inclusive resorts, but I have to say - the food and restaurant options were not just great, but super convenient! If you are looking for some sun, fun pool time, and elaborate (adult only) evening parties, then look no further! Other notes: Swim up bars aren't really swim up, but more like wells that are separate from the main pool. Child friendly resort, with plenty of evening activities in the main plaza (target age group up till 8)
