Excellent location, but room for improvement
We have stayed in several RIU hotels, but this one was perhaps slightly lower in quality. The beach was amazing and the best I have been to so far. The cleaning service was good, and I cannot say that the room was dirty. The food was tasty, and help was always available when requested. However, there were a few downsides. The sounds from neighboring rooms were too audible, and the doors of the hotel rooms slammed shut with a loud bang, which echoed and was very disturbing. The food was constantly running out, especially at lunchtime, and it was clear that the staff could not handle the large number of guests. As a suggestion, I would like to mention that when there were performers in the lobby bar in the evenings, there should not be competitions or games held at the same time in the adjacent area. The beautiful music was drowned out by the shouting of competitors and hosts, which felt disrespectful to the performers. I would have liked to enjoy the beautiful music without unexpected outbursts.

Perfect Blend of Fun, Relaxation, and Thoughtful Details
The staff at the resort were absolutely amazing, and the facilities were clean. I especially appreciated how the resort was designed with different areas to suit your mood. There was a lively party pool for socializing and a quiet pool perfect for reading and relaxation. Another nice detail was the espresso machines at the resort bars, which were a fantastic touch for an afternoon pick-me-up, a nice step up from drip or instant coffee.

awesome
loved it. not my first stay here. this is one of my favourite hotels everything is always to my satisfaction better entertainment would help more use of the theatre for riu party instead of the riu tequila.

Overall a very good hotel
LOADS of animals around! Surprised by howler monkeys at the pool!! Got used to them but would not have chosen the hotel if I had realised. Great beach. Excellent service, particularly picking out Juan in the wonderful Ibiza quiet bar and Suemy in the Dining Room. Great use of the other Riu hotels. Comfortable beds. However , for us, the main pools and activities were a little too noisy. Good use of the golfing umbrellas !

A bit like an expensive Benidorm 😬
I’m going to try and be as honest as I can … as we saw it in Jan 2025 . The hotel is very big , around 430 rooms , the bedroom blocks reminded us a little of a prison, all white with railings and it’s quite difficult to see the sky at some points , it’s 3 stories high and we felt that was too much , we like a more open feel with grounds to walk around , don’t get me wrong there are plenty of palm trees but not much in the way of grounds . You have to walk through the ground level of blocks to get anywhere quickly really so there is quite a lot of foot fall past your room if you are on the ground floor . The goodish points , We were in room 4223 which was on the 2nd floor , the room was perfectly nice , clean and a full mini Bar with optics in the room ( gin, vodka, golden rum and tequila) , a coffee percolator and coffee and sugar supplies were topped up daily, it was spacious but the bathroom was a little dated , only a few sockets that worked but enough for us , the aircon was good and wasn’t noisy. Our balcony was big enough to sit out but we faced the back of another hotel so no nice view to look at . The hotel seems good when it comes to smoking, there are designated areas and as usual you always get the odd one who doesn’t take any notice and will smoke wherever but as a rule it was oretty good . All of the restaurants were nice with a good selection, plenty of tables and you didn’t need to book for the A la carte ones , the food was usually warm but as with anywhere with buffet style places it can get cool before you get back to your table , most restaurants had self serve drinks . The bars were good well stocked with branded alcohol, you only need ask for a brand and you got it . The cocktails were lovely and as good as anywhere we’ve been . There doesn’t seem to be a huge tipping culture , most people give a few dollars through out the night but no where near as bad as some places we’ve been . The staff as a whole were friendly, smiley and helpful The beach was large , wide and soft white sand , the sea was a gorgeous blue and shallow for quite a way out so good for not such strong swimmers , plenty of beds but no umbrellas so people just dragged beds to where they wanted them there seemed plenty to go round , the pool there was a bit more of a battle I think . Now to the not so nice bits … this may sound snobby but we really did feel that it was comparable to main land Spain , large groups of families and friends , both Canadians and Americans, being loud and sitting very close to you on the beach with no awareness of personal space , the beach was very busy and at times we felt a bit “ penned in “ … if you imagine some other places in the Caribbean as small Greek islands , a bit more tasteful and calmer compared to Benidorm the the Rui Yucatan was definitely Benidorm 😬, which is absolutely fine if that’s what you want, but its just not really us and therefore we won’t be coming back . Hope that helps
