My friend and I had the most wonderful vacation. From the pre scheduled shuttle from the airport to the food, the drinks, the hospitality, the entertainment, the room. Everything wass perfect.

Another great holiday at Riu Cancun
This was our fourth visit to Riu Cancun. We will certainly be returning again. I cannot complain about anything. The shuttle both ways was bang on. Buffet was exceptional, as always. Really enjoyed the Steak House, Japanese and Italian restaurants. Bar service is very good. A good selection of top quality whiskey. Johnnie Walker Black & Red, Patron, Jameson. A very good whiskey selection in the room also. Beer refrigerator always kept well stocked. Room and building were kept nice and clean. Compliments to housekeeping! We are 66 & 69 years old and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The location of the hotel is very nice. We enjoyed going for walks every day.

Perfect for Girls Trip
We were greeted with a small and handed a tall glass of champagne. The rooms were clean and spacious. My friend celebrated her birthday during our stay and the housekeeping staff decorated her bed each day during our stay with either rose petals, towels shaped into a cake, or balloons. At each if the specialty restaurants, I ordered fish. The fish from the Asian restaurant and Fresh restaurant was dry and flavorless. However, the fish from the Italian restaurant was decent. And the Italian restaurant had a salad bar with many options for the 1st course. I was impressed by the buffet restaurant for breakfast! So many options and the food was delicious. Although, if you enjoy a "good" cup of coffee, you may want to wander across the street to Starbucks. Our favorite food option at the resort was the poolside bar. The street tacos were simple and extremely flavorful! The staff at the resort were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating.

Wonderful Place to Stay
Everyone was great from the moment we arrived until we left. I would highly recommend this hotel. This was a reward trip that I took with a friend of mine.

The resort itself is not bad but I wouldn’t say it’s 5 star resort as it’s listed. The food was okay lots of options. We liked the Italian restaurant the most. If you do book this resort, whatever you do DONT book with Sunwing!!! So many people we talked to on the resort missed multiple days of their trip due to Sunwing cancelling thousands of flights for no good reason and leaving people stranded. We missed 1.5 days of our 7 day trip and were not compensated whatsoever. The sunwing reps were rude and not helpful at all. They sold us tickets to coco bongo and told us it was VIP. When we arrived we were told they are not vip although we paid thinking we would have upgraded experience. Go with any other airline! The resort was in a good location but could use some upgrades to the rooms.
