Beautiful resort. Very clean, nice pools, good food and amazing beach. Al carte restaurants were all very good. Buffet was also good, but sometimes repetitive. Only compliant was that they have 2 buffets and both were open for breakfast but only 1 open for dinner. It was jammed packed every time, line up to get in and people were like a shark frenzy. Some guest's were darn right rude. They should open up both buffets for dinner especially during prime time. Service was good most of the time, but I get it, these employees work every hard everyday and some of them may have been having a bad day themselves. Lobby bar was excellent with great service, beach bar as well . Entertainment was just like other resorts, just fair except for the rock band (Kannon) they were great. They played a night show as well as a show in the afternoon buy the pool. Guest were rocking and drinks were flowing. This resort is more for families, wasn't much of an adult scene. All in all very good resort for the price. Might return again. We prefer an all adult resort. I love kid's but man they lose their mind's when on vacation.

This was our second trip to the Emerald Bay and it was better than last time. With renovations complete it didn't disappoint. Staff was incredibly friendly and fun. Shout out to Luis and Leo in the Sports bar, Eric and Neptali at the pool bar, and Dago at the front desk. Anytime we asked for more water or extra pillows, we were graciously accommodated. Food was great. Although all-inclusives can seem repetitive, Juan at the cooking station made various different dishes continuously, and they were delicious. All staff took the time to chat with us and make us feel extra special. The housekeepers even decorated our room for my husbands birthday. Amazing trip and we are looking forward to returning soon.

Great Family Friendly Resort
Really enjoyed our stay at the Riu Emerald Bay. Very clean, great food, friendliest staff ever. The location and beach were perfect. Staff were so good with children of all ages, entertainment group staff were really lovely and made it easy to participate in various events.

LOVED THE RIU
This is my 20th time to Mazatlan but the first at this Riu and my family can't wait to go back this coming December. We stayed in a superior suite 3359 which had a lovely garden view. Just wondering if there are any superior 2 bedroom suites in this particular building with an ocean view? Our favorite ala carte was the Bamboo. Buffets always had plenty of variety and we found wonderful waiters. Special mention to Mancinas who always went beyond the call of duty to look after us. Our 2 year old had a blast at the kids pool, and other pools. Although we did not use the adult pools, they are a good idea. Beach is very wide but one has to be careful of undertow. The cleanlinessbof Our rooms, public bathrooms etc is commendable. We enjoyed having the fridge in our room. Overall I will give this visit a 10 out of 10.

This is our third year coming as a family to this resort. We love it here. The family room are fantastic and the views from the tower are amazing.
