  RIU Montego Bay Review

  We went for a short vacation at this resort over the Martin Luther King birthday long weekend. Everything was great, service was efficient and friendly, rooms and pools were clean, food and drinks were awesome, and the beach is small but very nice. Evening programs were also great, we got to see two very nice cultural events. We only got to eat at one restaurant, maybe book restaurants as soon as you can, but the ones which don't need reservation have very good food and drink as well. Overall we loved the hotel. We did venture out across the street to the two malls one day and loved that too. Restaurants have lot of delicious Jamaican and international food and I learned quite a few new cocktails here! Hotel is also quite close to the airport so no long and expensive taxi rides back and forth.

  Best birthday ever

  Everything was fantastic! The food was good and fresh. The beds were super comfy. The restaurant was hard to get reservations for. But all in all it didn’t matter because the buffet was good.

  Great Value Great Hotel

  The hotel has been updated since I traveled here before which was in 2012. Very good job! Great amenities and it was very nice to have a place for 7 days with no children!! The food choices were awesome, the staff was very helpful and fun to be around. They had great shows especially Michael Jackson!! I highly recommend this place.

  Beautiful Resort

  I travelled to the Riu MB, there were 15 of us. The girl who met us at the airport through sunwing, got us on the bus, we thought would come the resort with us, but she was basically on the bus for 10 seconds, screams NO TIP FOR ME HELLO?????? so everyone is like oh snap and tipped her before she got off the bus never to be seen again. The resort itself was beautiful very clean, friendly staff...HOWEVER WHY IS THERE A HUGE FLASHING LIGHT ABOVE OUR HEADS IN BED??? Omg. When its pitch black, there was a flashing light above our heads that would not stop. I can sleep through anything but I could not sleep through that. My friends all had the same white flashing light in their rooms too. It was so annoying I was tossing and turning all night for 7 days trying to get a position where I cant see the flashing lights. When you arrive they dress the bed in 1 thin bedsheet. then store the tiniest little blanket in the closet. My Partner and I were FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEZINGGGGGGGGGGGGG all night. as were the rest of us 15. There are people on canoes yelling for your attention the second you step onto the beach trying to sell you things......"things".......one was even rude and swore at my friends when she said no thank you. the beach itself, the sand itself is hard and feels like youre walking on pavement in some places. swimming, you can only swim in a small sectioned-off area. you cant just lay on the beach and run into the water, you need to walk down to the allowed area. The food in the buffet was immaculate. Went back for seconds and thirds. The staff for the most part were friendly. The dudes with cameras trying to take pictures of you were a little much sometimes but most of the time "no thank you" did the trick. the entertainment staff were the BEST PART OF THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!! the fit, fun, entertainment, the life guards, all made our stay.
