  Birthday stay

  Third stay at this hotel. Spotlessly clean, really tasty food and lots of choice all freshly cooked. The staff are all really friendly. Would say some of the rooms are looking a bit tired (loose shower fittings). Would we stay again, you bet we would.

  Kings and Queens of the Palace

  Amazing stay at the RIU Palace! Already dreaming of coming back. Traveled from the UK with my boyfriend, both in our late 20’s. Over all beautiful hotel on a picturesque beach. One ‘negative’, other guests reserving sun lounges. This got progressively worse throughout our stay. People would be putting towels on loungers from as early as 7 am. It would be great if the hotel could look into a policy around this. Now the positives, only a 10 minute transfer from the airport, room was lovely, beautiful swimming pool, everything was impeccably clean, food was incredible! I’m a vegetarian and never struggled for food. Everything is labelled very well, and the kitchen staff are happy to answer any questions. The cuisine was very varied, I would say more catered towards the Americans, however there was always a wide selection of authentic Caribbean food for every meal. We did two trips, Duns river falls trip, booked through TUI, we loved it and shout out to our tour guide Kevin! And then a snorkelling trip, booked at the hotel, you literally get picked up from the beach at the hotel on the catamaran, couldn’t recommend this enough! Entertainment team were fab. We didn’t particularly get involved with the daytime activities, there are two swimming pools, one with entertainment and one without, so it’s easy to avoid if you want to. However, we were enamoured with the talent in the evening productions. Special mention to Bubbles from the ents team, made an effort to say hello to everyone around the pool, very friendly and a fab host on the mic. We would nip over to the ‘Riu Reggie’ to watch the teams dance shows, Rihanna really stood out, what a talent! And we have to shout out Lovelace from the buffet restaurant, cooking up pancakes with a smile! Patrick, one of the cleaner’s in the buffet restaurant and of course Alex, the waiter bringing us all our drinks around the pool and beach! Lastly Annette our friendly TUI rep! Thank you all for such a fabulous holiday!

  Everything was amazing!

  Best service I've ever had at an all-inclusive resort. Resort and rooms were kept super clean, and service was available any time it was needed. Beach and pool areas were kept clean, and it was not an issue finding chairs at any point during the day.

  The entertainment crew was outstanding! We were very happy with all the activities they had. Great time!

  Honeymoon stay

  The service we received here by staff was excellent. Everyone was so kind and helpful! The rooms were a bit outdated and could definitely use renovation/remodelling as shower door wouldn’t close, doors were really loud when closing it behind you, etc. cleaning staff were also very loud in the hallways from 7am in the morning talking to one another so it was a disruption. Besides this though, i want to give a huge SHOUTOUT to the entertainment team namely scion, Raheem (stringbean), DJ unstoppable and bubbles. They were all fantastic and such kind people. They truly made our stay more enjoyable. They always had activities lined up with prizes to be won and just overall had great enthusiastic energy and some killer dance moves! The food was also pretty good. Surprisingly the buffet food was sometimes even better than the a la carte restaurants! Overall it was a great stay and with some renovation, this resort is great considering that we have access to the two riu’s next door but this one is definitely the better one to stay at.
