This was our first international trip with our young children and it was a terrific experience! There was always some kind of activity for the kids! The food was good and the service was amazing. Highly recommend!

-Beautiful and clean resort! - Very large, and feels like you’re walking through a village. - Food is excellent! From buffets to sit down restaurants! Yum! - entertainment at the theater. It’s an indoor/outdoor venue on the main square by check in. -All staff were friendly, hard working and dressed neatly in uniforms! -The pools were crystal clear, clean with lots of lounge chairs available. I think they say they have 12 pools. - one pool for parties which was a concert with a DJ, and includes bubbles in the pool. Different themes daily. If you’re sensitive to that kind of noise, you may want to ask your room isn’t near it. It has a spa,gym and fitness tent. Large and small water slides. (Need to pay at spa) We saw whales almost daily close to shore! From the lounge chairs on the resort! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because of some noise. The party pool music was thumping so loud I could hear it with my door closed. Hard to take a siesta. The pool games near the beach were fun, but the loud mic was a bit much. This wasn’t the hotels fault, but it was hard to enjoy the beach with the vendors constantly asking you to buy their product. They were nice but relentless. But it’s a beautiful place with great food so I can see myself returning ☺️

Best family week
We brought our two teenage sons and had the best time in the sun and warmth. It was luxurious to sleep in and have no agenda each day. The staff and hospitality was absolutely incredible. The programming was super fun, too. We loved the NYE celebration!

Clean and fun!
I was impressed with cleanliness of property, friendliness of staff and super fun parties/events! It was my first time at an all-inclusive and our group of 11 had a blast (mostly mid-20s except me and my brother who are late 50s/early 60s)! Food was quantity over quality but with so many options it was okay. Shout out to Rico and Nayla, the awesome bartenders at the infinity pool near the beach. Top notch service! Endless food & delicious cocktails everywhere. I felt very safe at the resort. Reserved room mid-Oct, modified price with Black Friday promotion and travelled in Feb 2025. Weather was beautiful during the afternoons and just a bit chilly in the evening. I would stay at a Riu again. Have cash to tip all the staff as much and as often as you can. They deserve it! Pro tip: use Uber if you leave the resort to go to town. It's way less than a taxi or shuttle.

Nicely designed and carefully maintained
I have been into several resorts in South America and I should say Riu Loscabos is the best by far. However, we had a very bad experience with Sunwing/ Nexus ture provider but that was a different story
