We love Riu’s!
The atmosphere of this hotel is great. Always things to do, lots of chairs, food is ok, options could be better, the restaurants we were not overly impressed with. Doesn’t make sense to stand in line at 530 just to make a reservation for the steakhouse where all the other restaurants were first come first serve. There should be a spot on the Riu app to book your time if that’s the case. We ate at the buffet almost everyday as the other restaurants offered buffet anyways so it didn’t make sense to go to that restaurant when you’re serving yourself. Also the menu listed didn’t have the options they were serving like pad Thai. The beach well you couldn’t even get too with all the people nagging you as soon as you came down the stairs. The security should be cracking down on that. The water was always a red flag so you couldn’t swim. The pools not near the beach were great, the pools near the beach were ok until you notice no adults get out of the pools to use a washroom and they are drinking like fishes all day long- or someone pukes in the pool and we have to evacuate. We originally were assigned to building 7 - we changed to building 3 where it was a lot quieter to sleep and didn’t have drunks yelling down the hallway at 4am - we need our sleep. We are respectful people. It is a party hotel in the front and we attending 1 of 4 foam parties and it wasn’t our thing. But that’s ok. People were having a blast. The water slides my husband said were fun. I think a lot of people in the family part didn’t know about the water slides or that part of the resort as it wasn’t busy. Would have been nice to have a coffee shop to sit at with coffees, teas, lattes, hot chocolate, simple cakes and desserts - we miss that visiting other resorts. Canadians and Americans love coffee!! I liked how we didn’t have to get up early to save a chair by the pool..The rooms were good, would have been nice to have 2 luggage tables instead of one, the beds were super comfy, they had shampoo conditioners, body wash and hand soap available. Every room should be equipped with a plunger just saying as trying to ask for a plunger if you didn’t speak thr language was difficult in our last stay at a Riu. We took a uber to marina and Walmart, it was easy, download the app and load your credit card and hotel said it was safer than a taxi. The hotel should invest in a couple of beer options in future, drinking the same beer we got sick of it fast. Resort clean!

Great time great entertainment staff.
I had a great stay at this hotel. Great location and beautiful beach views amazing walk to the marina on the beach. Lots to in Cabos and area. It’s a big party resort many Riu theme party’s during the week well worth it if you like party environment. Service was great just at times but of waiting at bars and in the restaurants but understandable it’s busy places. Anything I need service never had a problem requests always came through in a timely manner. Entertainment was was amazing. Special thanks to Ariana, Wendo, Karen and Brenda who made my stay amazing. Thanks so much for a great week of holiday girls and hope to be back again one day. Great property and stay at Riu Santa Fe hope to be back again. Adam

Average all inclusive resort
Typical all inclusive resort, no option for top shelf alcohol. Perfect for someone on a budget. Our biggest complaint is the constant harassment from the beach vendors. Staff was not super helpful but room was clean and food was to be expected.

Riu Santa Fe
To clarify, we are people who travel multiple times each year to different places but always Cabo once each year. This resort has a great location. Walk to town is around 30min. The resort is VERY well maintained and seems to be updated regularly. It is a very large resort which comes with some positives and negatives. Its very busy. The good part about that is that there are lots of food options and the food turns over quickly leading to fresh food. Food: 1) The American a la carte is good. nice options. Really good real cheese cake. Note is that they only bring you one option at a time. Not a big deal. Order one thing and as it comes order another. They are very fast. 2) The Italian a la carte is good with many many options. Fresh crepes and pasta. 3) The steak house a la carte is very good. Get in line early for this one as they only have so many spots open at night and its popular. 4) The Mexican a la carte is a good restaurant. 5) The Asian a la carte is ok. Our least favorite by far. Quality could be better. 6) The gourmet a la carte didn't meat our expectations for quality or options. 7) Buffets are ok. Lots of options but very busy with a ton of pushy people. 8) Snack bars are nice for pool side options. Pools: Because it is a large resort there are many pools. Lots of party pools and quiet pools which works well for the mix of people. Staff: Overall the staff are fantastic and work hard to make your experience great. One HUGE shout out to Jose Loone at the beach side breakfast buffet! Sit in his area and tip well. Always has a smile and runs to service your needs! We did have one very rude and lazy lady at the guest services area. We tried to book pickleball and she rudely turned us away and wouldn't look into a time slot. We went back an hour later and Mario was great and got our slot no problem and was very helpful with directions etc. I won't say the lady's name because you should praise in public and criticize in private, but we had another rude encounter with her later. She know who she is and a good chance her management knows who she is too. Entertainment: Not my thing anywhere we go for the most part, so no review. The rock bands prior and post entertainment were a nice touch. Riu Party's and disco: Again, not my jam but I am sure many people go here just for that reason. If you get a building near the Riu Party bring ear plugs if you go to bed prior to 11pm. Not a big deal.

Great vacay @ Riu Santa Fe
My husband & I went the last week of October for 6 days with another couple. Ignore the negative reviews! We had a great & relaxing time! The food was great especially Baja California buffet! We were greeted graciously by Diana with a great smile daily at breakfast! We always sat in her section! Our room was nice, clean, & cold! The staff here works very hard & they are always cleaning! Please bring tip money! They appreciate it & will take care of you! One of the cleanest hotels I’ve been to! There is a pool & activities for every age! Wear comfortable shoes because you will do a lot of walking! It’s a big hotel! Great view of Los Arcos from infinity adult pools! The men enjoyed the sports bar to watch World Series & football! Great snacks here! Will return again! Mil gracias!😊👙🍹🌵🌴🌞
