  Very satisfied guest

  The staff and facility was super! really enjoyed the weather, pool and the staff. Would recommend this Riu to anyone. Will try to come back one day!!

  Wonderful Week at the RIU Vallarta ❤️

  We would rate this experience a solid 4.5, but unfortunately, the app doesn’t allow for half stars. The resort itself is pristine, lush, and meticulously maintained. The staff are hardworking, friendly, and consistently accommodating. The bar staff, in particular, stand out for being excellent, fun, and entertaining. The beach and pools are fantastic, offering something for all age groups. However, if you're not an early riser, you might have difficulty securing poolside chairs after 9 am. The rolling bar service carts around the pools are a thoughtful and appreciated touch. Oh, and the hamburger bar at the pool was very good for poolside snacks and lunches. For coffee lovers, the best brew can be found at the Sports Bar near the front desk on the lobby floor. As for dining, the steakhouse offered the best meal we had during our stay. The main buffet was decent—while we always found something to eat or snack on, we did have to request replenishment for certain items more frequently than we'd have liked. Compared to other resorts with spas and massage services we've visited, this was by far the best massage experience my husband and I have ever had while on vacation. We booked our beach gazebo massages through the main spa, and we couldn't be more pleased. A huge thank you to Trinidad and Maria for the incredible massage treatments—you truly made our vacation even more memorable. During our stay, the resort was filled with a lot of very intoxicated Spring breakers. We commend the staff for handling the chaos with grace and professionalism. We used the RIU app during our stay for room requests, and to keep us informed on resort activities, and entertainment. We used it to order extra pillows and to replenish our bottled water. The requests were made fast. All in all, we absolutely loved this resort and will definitely be returning.

  We had a great time!! Excellent Hotel!! Service was very good staff very friendly, rooms were comfortable and clean Food top notch with lots of variety for every meal Nightly entertainment to suit all ages from floor shows to bars covered all age groups Would definitely stay there again.

  Vacation/Friends Wedding

  Resort itself was clean and well kept. Amazing and very friendly staff. The set up for the wedding was beautiful. Only thing was the buffet, great selection but unfortunately under seasoned. Everything else was great!

  Very disappointing

  This was my third time in 21/2 years that I have visited the Riu Vallarta and it was very disappointing. I had requested a room with two beds for medical reasons and we were given a room with a king sized bed with the option of changing rooms in two days time. We are two elderly ladies and the thought of living out of our suitcases for two days was not appealing. Instead they gave us a cot which is really not acceptable in a five star hotel. I think what really upset us was the fact that there was no apology. It was a take it or leave it situation. The food in the buffet was good but cold which we had never experienced before and there were a lot of almost empty dishes so choice was very limited. The entertainment was the same as it had been the previous two times I was there so that was disappointing. I’m sorry to say I doubt I will return to the Riu Vallarta
