Loved our stay....very relaxing!
This resort is great value for a 3.5 * all inclusive. The garden view cottages are so cute...they are a little dated but very clean and roomy. Fridge is stocked with a large bottle of water. Soap, shampoo, towels including hand towels supplied daily if needed (bring face clothes if required) No problem getting into the one a la carte restaurant which rotates between Mediterranean and Asian food. Just book early at the desk the day before you want to go. As for the buffet...no reason you should go hungry. Lovely soups and the breads are so fresh. Always a variety of fruits, cheeses and salads. Pasta station at dinner. Omelette station at breakfast. I brought paper plates and cutlery after reading other reviews about shortages but did not use them once. A couple of days the staff gave you the bacon but most days you could help yourself. Breakfast 7-1030,lunch 12-230 snacks 3-5 (hamburger, hotdogs (not very good lol) , jerk chicken, nacho and cheese , fries and Jamaican patties and dinner 630-10. Coffee any time. Staff were very friendly. Beaches are lovely...raked every day! It was a bit windy while we were there so could only snorkel one day, but did see a variety of fish. Unfortunately the Jetty bar is closed for renovations but it will be very nice once it reopens with a big deck. Some great nights of entertainment...really enjoyed the violinist, steel drum band was amazing and the reggae band. Overall a great, relaxing sun filled vacation! Don't hesitate to book this resort!

Come ready for a buffet race and brawl
Bring food. There is no "beach grill" / "snack bar" and the buffet is open a few hours at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The buffet runs out of good food about an hour into service. Crowds of people literally lined up to rush into the buffet and grab as much food as quickly as they could. It was shocking and would have been amusing if I wasn't so hungry and unwilling to brawl over a cold chicken nugget. Only one al la cart restaurant is open and it is difficult to get into. The other is closed while undergoing a huge renovation. The grounds are lovely and the bungalows are funky. The cleaning staff worked miracles on those ancient rooms. The staff varies. Some are quite nice, others are very rude. Do not, under any circumstances, trust the hotel concierge arrange a taxi ride for you. You are better off walking to the road and hailing your own taxi. I wrote the company about the issues at the resort - and the things that were pleasant. Months later I received a not so polite response. It basically read (paraphrasing here): We advertise these services so we can only imagine it was your fault you didn't receive them. We are not responsible (so bugger off). I was baffled by their brisk response considering there are dozens of publicly posted reviews from other guests who had similar experiences. I was even more baffled because I never asked them for any compensation. Nothing. So, my advice: if you like being hungry, are ready to lose a few pounds, are primed for a buffet race and brawl, willing to be abused by angry bartenders and detached corporate owners, stay in an aging, funky but very clean room, on beautifully kept grounds, go for it.

Specail times at Royal Decameron
This was a special trip for us-meeting friends at this resort to celebrate a 90th birthday. We have been to this resort more than 20 times over the years and this time was one of the best we have had there. The food, entertainment and staff were much improved over our last visit August 2024. Special shout out to Judy at front desk, Fierce in entertainment, Kameisha in maintenance, Damion at the main bar. The birthday celebration was great fun and seeing all our friends was amazing. A relaxing time for everyone and we have already booked to go back for Christmas 2025

A perfect place to enjoy
This was our 4th visit to the country And 2nd to this resort and many more to come. If you are looking for a perfect, in my opinion place to relax and enjoy this is the place. The staff in all areas were welcoming and helpful The atmosphere is enjoyable the food was good and plenty of options and drinks were quickly available. I know others complain about everything and that's fine but for us it is the perfect get away. We always look at other resorts but this island and resort is our go to place. The cottages are a particular favorite not found in many resorts. If you want marble halls and crowds this is not the place for you. I'm not a fan of staying in a place that reminds me of a shopping mall. We were almost about to rebook and go back in a few weeks but spring is getting close and we will look forward to coming back later in the year and again in the new year part of me wants everyone to experience this place but another part wants to keep it a secret. Smaller quaint little resorts where you kind of get to know everybody are becoming harder to find and this is a place I want to stay the same. We look forward to returning again and again. Everyone always makes a point of welcoming us to the island and the resort but I like to return the comment to all involved thanks for having us
