Nov 19, 2024Superb stay at the Decameron Club, Runaway Bay.
Fantastic stay at the Decameron Club in Runaway Bay. Superb cottages and recommended to stay in, lots of room, spotlessly clean etc. Friendly staff throughout, nothing too much trouble, entertainment team were great and worked hard, bar staff and restaurant staff also very attentive and professional. Food good, a-la-carte meals superb, beaches lovely, no issues getting sunbeds etc. Overall a fantastic experience.

The check in process was horrible. The front desk lost our reservation. They told us it wasn’t their problem and we had to call expedia to get it fixed. After two hours of trying to get help, asking for a manager, being lied to, they finally “found” two rooms they could give us. They started out saying they had no rooms for us. Then they said they had one room. Finally they had two cheap rooms they could give us even though we paid for the expensive rooms. We will never stay here again. Horrible customer service.

Absolutely stunning place and nothings too much trouble!
I came here as a solo traveller and my first time solo long haul. I’ve seen very negative reviews and also positive. This is my honest review! I’ve been made to feel welcome by every member of staff I’ve met. The restaurant staff are attentive and friendly and efficient. The food is plentiful and restocked quickly, some not to my taste but that’s just a preference! Breakfast buffet is the best! Freshly made omelette and any other egg you’d like. Kim has been a stand out for me and has looked after me every day! The cats, yes there are cats but I never saw one jump on a table or steal food, they’re just chilling and might watch you eat but they aren’t a nuisance at all! My room was clean upon arrival and the cleaners come daily! The air conditioning was a god send! Tv worked fine and the shower was hot. The guys at the bar are also great and friendly, making anything you ask for! Nothing has been too much trouble here and the surroundings are stunning and well kept. The 4 coves are amazing and the sea is so warm. I will definitely be back, I purposely didn’t book an all singing all dancing chain hotel and I don’t regret it one bit! This is a small, friendly, stunning location and if I am struggling to find anything negative to say. The accommodation is so much better than a room/apartment in a big hotel complex! Come and make your own mind up.

The hotel needs an upgrade particularly in the rooms. The bathroom was old and outdated with a piece of the tub chipped and rusting. The mattress looked old and stained. There was also a lizard in the crease of the roof and probably more in the room. On arrival the baggage person declared that this was a poor hotel. On the positive side, the entertainment team was energetic and overall the staff is friendly. Only two restaurants are on the property and meal options are limited. Staff should also be screened properly. There was one bartender who kept blowing his nose and went straight back to serving. Disgusting. That is the bar right next to the main pool. Overall for the price paid things could be improved.

Relax at Decameron All Inclusive Runaway Bay
Decameron Club Caribbean Runaway Bay Ramada All Inclusive Resort. Had a fantastic time. It is small resort with rustic cottages on the beach and grounds surrounded by beautiful gardens. 2 pools & 4 beach areas. Main bar & Pavilion bar. Basketball & tennis court a gym...archery and kiddies play area. The stalff are excellent hard working and friendly. Everywhere was very clean. Food was great.shout to Kimmy & David. Compliments to the Chefs. Shout out to the Entertainment team Kevin..Elder..Cher..Yogi..& Chocolate. The reception team very helpful and taxi drivers Toby and Steve. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾.
