Worthwhile mid-range, keep expectations in check.
Decent place and certainly can't complain for what I paid. Some nickle and diming for sure, no pool service, no room fridge offerings just big bottles of water that won't fit lol. Kudos to the pools being warm and no b.s. towel games. Big bonus was the whale action right out front of the resort. Food average but good enough and lovely staff. Pool bartenders didn't smile one the nine days we we there but whatever. The overall value was worth it. Salud

Hidden Gem.
My husband and I traveled to San Jose Del Cabo for 9 days in late January/early February 2025. We have stayed in this area before, but this is our first time at this resort. Let me first say that this lovely resort is a HIDDEN GEM. It is a smaller resort than what we are used to. Not once did the bars run out of beer like we've experienced at other resorts in the area, not once did we go without a pool chair, no matter the time. We arrived at 3:00 on our first day and easily found pool chairs. The staff was wonderful. The rooms were cleaned daily and to perfection. The Luna restaurant and Elias were wonderful. Nice portions and good food. We did not go to the buffet for coffee or breakfast in the mornings, and opted for coffee in our room. We found the staff a bit stingy when we asked for a second package of coffee but we ended up going to the main desk every day and picking a package up there. We went to the buffet for lunch every day except twice. The food was fine, still better selection than we eat at home. We choose to have soup and a bun for lunch every day. The soup was excellent. We went off the resort twice to eat, we would definitely recommend Zippers, just a 30 or 40 minute walk down the beach, such good food and cold beer. Lateral is another good stop for lunch, located a short 5 minute walk up the stairs across from the resort. Our room location was quiet, we are early to rise and early to bed. We would close our balcony doors at night and the only thing we would hear is the ocean waves crashing. We knew ahead of time that you can not swim in the water, but several guests did not do their research and were disappointed in this. The bar fridge in the room is empty upon arrival and they do not stock it with anything. We walked across the street to OXXO and picked up a six pack of beer for 100 peco. Note that we found the prices at OXXO better than the big grocery store at the top of the stairs. Ivette at the front desk was lovely, always able to answer our questions. I mentioned Elias earlier in my review, he was wonderful at the Luna restaurant. We ate there 5 times during our stay. We would defiantly return to this resort. For a small resort the staff were easy to get to know and ALWAYS friendly. Great job Decameron!

I probably would have enjoyed donating the money more.ney more than I enjoyed my stay here.
Rooms the patio door couldn't be secured.they secured the door by sawing off broom sticks so the door won't opEn or have access to the patio. At least someone will make a lot of noise if they try to murder me now. I expect the room will get burglarized. A sign tells you not to flush toilet paper. Instead they have a covered waste basket to put your TP in. I don't know about you, but having a can of fecal encrusted TP in my living quarters was not the experience I typically pay to experience. The food I give a grade of C. Better than McDonald's but that's about the best I can give it. This is the worst vacation I have been on and that includes a 7 day cruise that I got COVID. I very dissatisfied with the hotel and Apple vacations in general . I look forward to this nightmare ending a my return trip home. Basically a crappy hotel, in a crappy part of Mexico. It's my 4th trip to Mexico. I used to be impressed by the customer service on Mexico. This trip changed that.

Excellent staff!
We were at the resort for 10days and enjoyed our stay. ALL of the staff were excellent but upon check out we were told that it’s important to recommend any favourites you had by name as that is how their contracts get renewed. It would be helpful if the name tags were larger as they were difficult to read. The food was good and I felt there was enough variety. However the desert treats were a little lacking. There’s a supermarket across the road and up the stairs if you want snacks for your room. We wished the evening entertainment started earlier, including the dancing that didn’t start until 10pm.
