This resort has gone downhill!!!!
PLEASE- Don't waste your hard earned vacation money. This was our 4th and LAST visit to this resort. It has gone downhill drastically. Unbelievably, VERY poor sanitation infrastructure. Its not a housekeeping problem - its a building, grounds and maintenance issue!! There was a constant smell of sewage. No toilet paper was allowed to be flushed and the TP had to be put into an OPEN bin beside the toilet! Gosh, our cottage has better sanitation! IN GENERAL: VERY poor physical maintenance of the building. An obvious long & slow decline...Broken and unlevel tiles and concrete walkways. Trip hazards everywhere. Loose railings and other railings that are actually no longer attached to wall!! One tiny elevator (that fits 3 people/or 2 with luggage) and the entire complex is NOT HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE !!!! Not one single room was available to be on a level without stairs and, the elevator does NOT connect to ANY rooms. Rooms are only accessed by MANY flights of stairs. Please note that if you use a cane, walker, wheelchair or have leg braces, you will NOT be able to navigate this resort. BEDROOMS: Bedroom lamps, furnishings and décor are the same as it was in 2012 when we first visited this hotel! Drapery does not fully seal off the outside lights at night. The room's electrical duplex plugs don't work. The room lighting is insufficient, especially in the bathroom and the bedside lamps fall apart. The bathroom toilets are VERY low and, the toilet area is NOT very private. It has a 'dual-purpose' glass door that swings in 2 directions, either towards the shower, or towards the toilet but it provides ZERO privacy. And, there is NO room for your mobility device. FOOD: During all of our previous visits to this resort, the FOOD was GREAT - but unfortunately, it is NOT great any more. MENU: The kitchen menu planning /food rotation cycle & quality was poor. It felt like we were at summer camp instead of a resort.. An ocean a few feet away and the local stores and piers overflowing with fresh seafood - YET, no fresh grilled fish (only poached fish/like slop), covered in a mystery white sauce and heated forever in a warming tray. There was no fresh grilled chicken, beef or pork- only roasted and smothered meat in either in BBQ sauce, orange juice or another sweetened saucy mixture and cooked until the meat fell off the bones. Any person watching their (Diabetic) food choices could NOT eat properly in the hotel dining room. It was so bad, that one night, we started to go across the street to eat a small restaurant, even though our meals were included on our hotel stay. It was a very long 11 days!! However, 'THANK YOU AGAIN' to the amazing lady that smiled and prepared breakfast omelets every morning!! You were great and made the best meal of the day!! Every day..... We were advised by staff that the hotel has been purchased by another large hotel chain. It was so sad to see how far downhill this place has slipped.

Music at the pool is so loud!
The location of this hotel is fantastic. And the staff really wants to show they care, and have the desire to make a fantastic guest experience. What has really soured us on this experience is the absolutely ridiculous noise level at the pool. This was supposed to be a relaxing vacation, and the DJ at the pool today played loud obnoxious music nonstop for almost 3 hours. There were only 10-15 of us in the pool. None of us were interested in listening to this music. It didn’t matter that we asked resort staff to make the volume less, or to change to something more relaxing. That clearly was not the desire of the hotel management. We would not recommend staying here solely because of this.

Lower end all inclusive
Bathrooms, showers and adult pool in desperate need of upgrades, bring own condiments as you won't find salt pepper relish. Ketchup sometimes available. Smaller hotel which was great for quieter vacation. This is definitely not a 4 star...more like 2+. Beach fantastic, staff very polite and helpful

Quick trip to Cabo
Overall, it was a good stay/getaway from the cold back home. I travel with a motorized wheelchair and though it is all technically accessible, the lower level (pools, beach, spa, restaurant) is quite difficult to get to without someone to help you on a steep incline. You have to go out onto the service alley to go down and around most of the property to get to the lower level. Also, the adults only pool is up a set of stairs. It is ridiculous that they have an elevator between floors 2 and 3, but not down to 1. There is also room to put a long ramp in the center of the property where it is only stairs. Food in the restaurant was pretty good, the buffet was great for breakfast, and had a wide variety at other meals although we felt some of the lunch/dinner options were kind of bland. Pools and service were great.

A well run smaller resort worth a check out!
A smaller well run property with friendly staff in all sectors. A pleasant surprise from other larger all inclusive resorts where service and food offerings can be spotty or elusive. Food selection and quality was excellent with many fresh offerings. The room was very clean with excellent service daily. Nice to be able to leave the resort to walk into San Jose and along the Malecón. Our second time here and plan on returning again next year.
