This is a 70+yr resort with a lot of character. Great jamaican vibe. Location is second to none, on the beach, anchored at one end of the "hip strip". Rooms are clean, plenty of variety of food (all inclusive). Very easy to do day trip to either Ocho Rios or Negril and just 5 minutes from the airport! Okay, the hiccups. The rooms are dated, this is a solid 3 star out of five star resort. If you are expecting 5 star services & facilities, it's not. What you do get is a laid back, casual, fun atmosphere with great vibes from the staff. Additional benefit: you can use the sister resort, Cornwall Beach, beach, bars and restaurants! November 17th, renovation will include common area flooring, changing from door key to card key, room remodeling. Not sure of ADA features. In addition to the nenovations, additional staffing and possibly a elevator. I'm a longtime returnees, just got back, will be back in May. Take it nice and easy, grac

Great experience
Great is an under statement. Never a dull moment with entertainment and the food was excellent. I'm already thinking of booking a next visit. Experience is unforgettable. The staff made you feel welcoming. It's like home away from home. I recommend.

The ac did not work No hand towels Huge stain on the floor with no mat, carpet, rug or attempt to conceal it We arrived and the guest room had no phone and a door which was very hard to open then we had to walk to the opposite end of the property back to reception to be given a new room with a huge stain on the floor no telephone reception and a leaking ac with wall retaining moisture the hot water gauge did not work and was scalding

Treated like royalties!
Royal Decameron owes my mom and I nothing! Honestly I booked with hesitation but was quite impressed. This is by far the most genuine service I have ever experienced at a hotel. When I say ALL staff we interacted with were superb I mean it. I couldn't find one person who dampened our trip. We had the luxury of accessing the Cornwall side also and man! The people are great on both sides. The best part of the hotel is the staff. From housekeeping to Jamrock to water sports to Jamaican Specialty Restaurant to Cafe upstairs I cannot commend the staff enough. Willing, winning service with a smile. Eddington, Nathaniel from kitchen, Monique our server, Daniel it was a Wow. Big up everyone from jam rock and Cormnwall who treated us with the biggest smile and warmest greetings. The food was excellent. Not salty yet flavourful. Not overly sweet or oily. Natural and nice. That cornmeal porridge! All rooms ocean view with planes passing added to the beauty. Though the rooms are dated and could use a tile and bathroom upgrade they were clean. It rained one night and some common areas leaked but the clean up staff took it on with great tenacity. The beach is God's gift. Breathtaking. Adequate beach amenities. This was good value for our money. Worth it! Thanks guys!

Roots Rock Reggae
Great location, excellent staff, amazing food! The bedding are super confortable and rooms are big, clean and offer an oceanview. The enternainment team is just to die for, no way you can sit on your chair and not participate. Would return anytime to spend some vacation or even workationing. Excellent quality-value.
