Great location Not so great unit
Location was great. Have stayed in several different unit’s over the years. Parking used to be free and that was a big benefit however they now charge $18 per night to squeeze into the parking slots. The unit I stayed in was 319. Price was good but you get what you pay for. Dirty carpet that should be ripped out or professionally cleaned, towels were like sand paper, older furniture the owner pre set the AC so it wouldn’t go below 75 and we couldn’t change it. The beach chairs in closet were filthy and the umbrellas were broken. On the plus side I will say that Chase N Rainbows is awesome and would definitely rent from them again, just not this unit.

Well kept condo complex
Love this condo building. Great location. Great staff there managing the building and keeping the grounds looking nice. Lots of repeat vacationers from the US go here. Some beach which I think can wash away at times. Pool was decent for the kids and there was a small food truck (Mexican run?) We would return!!

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!
We have stayed at this property several times. The unit we stayed in was a studio with a Murphy bed. LOVE the location! Right on the water. You can drift off to sleep to the sound of the roaring ocean. Small beach with great access. Good for snorkeling. Smallish hot tub on the premises as well as a swimming pool. The best feature is the location!

RATS!!!
RATS!!! 713 at the Royal Kahana owned by Telluride Travel Rentals (and presumably many others) have RATS! We woke up and discovered produce on the counter had been eaten and then found a rat hole under the bathroom sink and droppings under the counters in the kitchen. We contacted the host immediately and they were abusive and angry towards us and basically said in no uncertain terms 'screw you we already have your money.' We had to book another place at our own expense and lost vacation time transitioning and dealing with this unbelievable jerk of a host. It's also generally filthy. There's grime coating the kitchen and all the utensils/plates/bowls/glasses

Peaceful location with great views…
Relaxing location, good ocean views and close to groceries and other supplies. As Lahaina recovers this location is open and pleasant. The only downside isn’t their fault but beach erosion has carved out the sand in front of the property. You can walk down to the adjacent beach for easy swimming, like many beaches I’d advise dive boots or shoes with real soles as there’s roughly rock and old coral platforms near shore and it will save you a nasty cut. I like properties like this because they don’t have the hassle of traditional full service resorts and the ability to have a kitchen and the bbq pit nearby is a real convenience. Just swing by Costco on the way there and you’re good to go!
