Had a great stay with my wife, brother and sister in law.
Went to the Thai restaurant and we had Esteban for a waiter. He was so good we decided to go back there to eat again as he was so nice and the food was excellent. Also we enjoyed the new members only area. Would suggest more loungers and or chairs. Had a tough time get either one. Would suggest more by the side of the pool and in front of it. Maybe two each on the decks of the lower units to give more people a chance to get a lounger. Rosy and Socorro were fabulous behind the bar. Sweet ladies and they look like they enjoy there work. Great time in the premium bar also.

Overall Good
I would give this hotel 3.5 stars if you could give half stars. Pros: Evening shows; drinks; kids playground and waterpark (although both closed daily at 5pm); waterslides, staff friendliness; rooms (however, we paid extra for oceanview); close line in shower for hanging up wet clothes; beachfront was beautiful although not swimmable; Average: gym (a few machines out of order); food (okay but very repetitive); check-in process/length Cons: Not enough pool seating (even though signs said you weren't allowed to save seats, everyone did it); only 1 hot tub that was in an adult-pnly area; kids club activities included a lot of screen time everyday (video games and movies); the one big waterside was very slow so disappointing for our 6 year old; main pools were not heated so very cold, even for adults at midday in Feb; very long line-ups (20+ minutes) for pizza place, snack bars, ice cream and omelets; water was turned off for repairs the day we left so we couldn't have showers; they try hard to sell you time shares/memberships; we were unable after 3 attempts to book a shuttle back to airport with the voucher they gave us upon booking

Bad experience
Bad food, there were only 2 restaurants open. This hotel is the first all-inclusive hotel that doesn't include dinners in the restaurants, we were only able to make one reservation out of the 4 days we went. There were cockroaches in the room, we caught the cockroach in a glass and the room service didn't clean it up, I would never go back, it's the worst I've ever been to.

Our week in Cabo
Escaped the cold rain in Seattle and stayed at the Royal Solaris in San Jose del Cabo for a week in the sun. This resort did the job! Original room with “garden view” had a view of a cement wall and construction trash. Marco got us a water room on the 5 th floor view room the next day. He was just great! He even got us an additional bed for our daughter. Food was as expected for an all inclusive hotel. Just fine. Really nice staff. Close to town. Just a nice week!
