Very dispointed in the resort. They should hire more professional staff that actually care
Rude staff at the front desk and customer service very poor. Every question we asked about excursions was not answered no help at all we were told to book on our own. Not informative . Not willing to help with issues at hand. Staff in the resturants rude service very slow did not even return to table for dessert we were left there. Ants and cockroaches in rooms. Air conditioner not working floods in rooms. Rooms were not cleaned properly over all a very disappointing experience with our stay at this resort. Will never return and definitely not recommend to anyone.

Far Below Expectations for a Marriott Property
I’m a longtime Marriott Bonvoy member and booked Royalton Antigua expecting the brand’s usual quality and service. Unfortunately, my stay fell far below expectations and did not reflect what was promised as a luxury all-inclusive experience. The issues began at check-in — although I arrived at 1:45 PM for a 3:00 PM check-in, I wasn’t given my room until nearly 4:00 PM, and even then, it wasn’t fully ready (minibar unstocked, remnants of room service still outside). Throughout my stay, the resort ran out of basic food and beverage items — half the beach lunch menu was unavailable by 1 PM, the coffee shop was out of lids and straws, and bars lacked ingredients for standard cocktails. To make matters worse, there were no drink menus, and beachside service was inconsistent at best. My first shower caused the bathroom to flood, and the thin adjoining doors made it feel like I had no privacy. Most staff seemed disengaged and unfriendly — with the exception of those at the coffee shop, Italian restaurant, and steakhouse. I didn’t escalate onsite, aside from the flood, because these weren’t quick fixes — they reflected deeper operational issues. I’ve since tried to resolve this with the hotel and Marriott, but the response has been disappointing.

Royalton gym
Bootcamp was a wonderful experience. It was a great class using a variety of equipment in bootcamp. Lady J is so motivational and positive. It was all new to my husband and she guided him through the process while pushing me at my level. Highly recommend.

Nice resort but….
The resort was fine but no air conditioning for two days in the hotel complexe. Very uncomfortable during the day and trying to sleep at night . No compensation offered or even an explanation. Otherwise the location is outstanding and the buffet was excellent .

Fantastic Family Holiday
Having read some of the reviews on here I was initially nervous about going. However, I feel some of the reviews are quite unfair. We had a fantastic experience at this hotel. KIDS CLUB- I have to mention kids club first as the staff here went above and beyond. I usually never leave my children abroad and do not generally trust leaving my children with other adults. However, my son started playing with some of the children in kids club in the splash park one day and I met Cara . Cara showed so much care towards all of the children and allowed my son to join in. From this point on, he asked to go to kids club every single day. He absolutely loved doing crafts, Caribbean tie-dye, shell painting and so many activities. Cara and the other kids club staff were incredible. On the final day, my son cried as he had such a great time in there. I think this really shows how the team always go the extra mile for the children in their care. BAR- Carleen made our holiday amazing. She is incredible at cocktail making and each night my husband and I looked forward to a drink on our balcony. No menu needed- she was able to make all cocktails we requested. Thank you Carleen for going above and beyond for us. ROOM- We were very happy with our room which had two large beds and a cot set up for our baby on arrival. We stayed in room 10913 . The room was spacious and clean. We were diamond club. My son loved the minibar snacks and this was topped up regularly. Thank you to Shauna and Coniah who continually brought us extra water and more snacks for my 4 year old son! Shauna and Coniah made sure that we had all of the restaurant bookings we needed and decorated our room for my husband’s Birthday. They made our holiday experience easy and stress free. LOCATION- the hotel is on Deep Bay beach which is incredible and one of the best beaches we have seen. We loved taking out the kayaks and turtle spotting. We definitely recommend walking to the end of the beach to the local bbq. We had a fantastic lobster/ rum lunch! FOOD- The buffet was perfect for us as a family of 4. We enjoyed fresh omelette each day and the freshly grilled meats at lunch and dinner. Overall we had a fantastic holiday and we really loved this hotel. This was due to the staff going the extra mile- particularly at kids club, Cara, Shauntay, Cher Carleen, Shemer and many others. Thank you!
