  Wonderful Service - Only 3 Star Due to Food and Housekeeping/Maintenance

  From the moment we checked in, hands down the best service from our Butlers, Arturo and Samara! If you get one of them, you are in for world-class service. Food is very average, not great at all. Housekeeping around the hotel needs improvement, such as in the hallways, inside/outside elevators, glass in rooms, etc. Air conditioner in the rooms worked okay, not great. If we were there in the hottest months, it may not have done justice. Rooms have ceiling fans that help, if they work. Some other small maintenance upkeep like door locks, etc, needs to be improved upon. Great location of the hotel to Cancun activities. All rooms facing ocean have wonderful views and balconies.

  Had high hopes but less than impressed

  Stayed at various all inclusive hotels throughout Mexico and our stay at the Royalton Chic was our least favorite. Traveled with 2 other couples who all felt the same way. Pros: Good location Clean hotel Big size modern hotel rooms Adult only hotel Hotel on beach with beautiful views. Dulce one of the servers at the main pool was very attentive and friendly. Cons: Elevators were always slow. Felt like you were always indoors. Never really had to walk outside the resort to get to places like with other resorts. Food was just ok at the buffet. Restaurant reservations were impossible to get with the app and with Concierge. Constantly being asked to upgrade or purchase something by workers, excessive actually (cabana, bottles, rooftop pool, etc). Entertainment was boring. Dj at club only a few nights not daily. Stage entertainment boring especially for an all adult hotel. Rooftop pool parties are not included as part of the all inclusive. Rooftop parties are over rated and boring. Concierge workers not helpful and rude. I would definitely consider staying elsewhere especially for the amount of money.

  Excellent room service

  Excellent room service with Enrique Hernandez! Thank you very much for the excellent stay. We’ll definitely be back and will enjoy many more good times at this hotel. Beach and pool were also great and so were the vegan options. The food was good!

  A trip to remember

  Wonderful adults only resort!!!! Our personal butler Cesar was fabulous and paid attention to every detail. Food was amazing, entertainment was even better. The staff treat you like royalty. The beaches are breathtakingly beautiful. Seeing the sunset every afternoon from our balcony was splendid. Can’t wait to go back.

  Enjoyed it!

  Returned yesterday from a week here. this was our tenth México all inclusive. We did Diamond Club and it was great. Our butlers Stef and Marisol were incredible. Went above and beyond and truly made us feel like they cared. We had reserved room 11481, but after one night we asked to move. It’s right by the service elevators and the loud banging all night meant we hardly got a wink of sleep. Our butlers took care of everything, told us to pack up our stuff and they moved us pretty quickly. We moved to room 10681. It was quieter for sure. Much better. The only problem with this room is that the smell from Munchies at the pool level, wafted in (even with window closed). It was quite smelly, and upon returning home, we realized that all our clothes smell like barbecue! We also both got terrible coughs on day 6. Wondering if perhaps it was from mold in the room? We couldn’t smell any mildew, only barbecue. ;) On check out day, we had to check out by noon, but we were able to still enjoy the beach, bars and buffet. Our butlers reserved the hospitality room for us at 2pm, so we were able to shower and change before our transportation to the airport. It was so great! We have done Diamond Club at the Hideaway resort before, and enjoyed their DC room/buffet much more. They had hot dishes at all times. The Chic only had ceviche and some dried out meat skewers. That was a disappointment, as we love popping in there for a little snack. The biggest disappointment though, were the elevators. Seems like not a big deal, until you have to wait 8-10 minutes for an elevator, multiple times a day. They don’t let you use the stairs, they are for staff only and take you right into the kitchen (weird for safety too), and the spiral staircase that is there for floors 1 - 3 was closed for repairs all week. So we’d have to wait 10 minutes to go one floor up or down!! The food was okay. We’re not picky, and never went hungry, but none of the a la carte restaurants really impressed us (no where we wanted to eat twice at), and the buffet was mid, and not a lot of anything left by 8:30pm. I will say this resort had the best desserts I’ve ever seen in Mexico though. I love a resort with a pool side restaurant, and the little buffet there every day was fantastic. Being able to order food right to our beach chairs was awesome too. And having somewhere to get food at anytime of day is a huge plus. Some waitresses at the beach were better than others. We had to get up at 7am to get good chairs, which was fine, I like to watch the sunrise with my coffee (and the lattes were fantastic). The main pool is a massive party everyday. If you are looking for more of a relaxing atmosphere, I highly recommend doing DC so you can be on the quiet end. Another thing that is worth mentioning is the constant commotion in the hallways all day - by the service staff. I’ve never been anywhere where the housekeeping staff were so loud! Starting at 8:30am to 5:30pm, they would be chatting loudly and even yelling down the halls to each other. Great that they clearly love their jobs, but makes it a little difficult to have a siesta. Big shout-out to Santiago at the lobby bar. This guy knows what customer service is. He’d remember my husband’s order and would be making it as he approached the bar. Also, just a note that I have never seen less tipping before. With a line up of 12 people in front of me for coffee one morning, I was the ONLY one who tipped. Saw this at the restaurants and bars too. Tables of 6, leaving a restaurant without leaving a tip at all, I find shameful. These people work so hard and it’s the least you can do to show some appreciation. The best thing about this resort (besides the staff), is the view. Looking out our window with the ocean right there, was magnificent. I would stay here again, and would recommend it.
