Amazing Vacation, I’ll Be Back
I stayed at the Royalton Chic Cancun from Dec. 9-14, 2024. The trip was amazing! From arrival to departure, staff was attentive, friendly, and responsive to our needs. Check in was quick and efficient, and Juan prepared a perfect margarita in the Diamond Club lounge to help welcome us. In fact, I visited the lounge every day for a margarita and chat with Juan. Our butler, Sandra, was a true gem. She acclimated us to the resort, the Royalton app, and assisted us with restaurant and spa reservations. She made it a point to check in with us every day, even on her day off! When I return to Royalton, I am requesting her. Every staff member we encountered went above and beyond to make this a memorable stay. I unfortunately cannot remember everyone’s name, but standouts include Christian on the vibe team, Yudicael in Chopsticks, Luis (I think) with the drink cart in the breakfast buffet, Ivan and Alejandro who served drinks around the pool, and Vanessa who ensured my room was clean and comfortable. The resort is beautiful but can use some minor updates. Many people comment on elevators, but I did not find them to be a huge issue. When the resort is at capacity, one should expect some delays, but I never waited more than a few minutes for an elevator. The water refill stations are easily accessible and bottled water is available in the Diamond Club lounge. My room was spacious and comfortable and offered fantastic views of the beach and sunrises. The room smelled amazing when we arrived but developed the typical damp smell as the days passed. The pools are a bit small but it’s only an issue during the weekend as they are more crowded. I don’t recall the name of the gentleman who was grilling food at the pool restaurant, but the chicken and ribs were delicious. As for the food, I was satisfied. As a person without food restrictions, I could always find something at the buffet; however, there are a lot of seafood and pork options, which can make it difficult for people who don’t eat those to find a good meal. The restaurants (La Hacienda, Chopsticks, and Vespa) were fantastic and I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was! The waitstaff was superb in each restaurant. The snacks in the Diamond Club lounge were also a treat. I only encountered one minor issue during my stay. Due to a city issue, we lost water for a few hours early one morning. I reported the issue around 1:30 am but the water was restored by 6:00 am. Overall, I truly enjoyed my stay at Royalton Chic Cancun and plan to return next year.

Great Experience!
My husband and I traveled here for our honeymoon. We chose Diamond Club and I am so grateful we did. We were instantly met with the friendliness of the staff. Our butler Cesar was amazing, he helped us settle in and was always there to answer questions. It didn’t matter where we were he was quick to greet us and check in. We loved our trip and are grateful for Cesar’s help to make that possible!

Honest opinion from a returning guest
This was my third time at this resort and sadly, I don’t think there will be a 4th visit. The main issues with this stay was the room cleaning and butler service. We arrived to a dirty room (dirty bathroom counter, long black hair everywhere, stained bed sheets) and the cleaning throughout the week was below average. Considering that we arrived at 10pm, there was no one available to come clean and they didn’t offer to change our room. We had the room at the end of the hallway and we noticed that we were the last room on the list to be cleaned. Since cleaning is till 5 pm, we assume they didn’t have enough time to clean our room and they did the bare minimum almost all week (make the bed and pick-up dirty towels). We mentioned the issue several times and it’s only on the last day that the resort took action and cleaned the room. We walked in these long black hair all week. Keep in mind that we are two men, one bald and one with short hair. Food: The menu changed in some restaurants and before the food was great and now it is good. Nothing to brag about but overall good. Diamond club: Overall the diamond club is worth it. Always chairs available on the beach, pool is heated. We were unlucky with the butler that was assigned to us. You can see butlers working hard and I saw our butler 4-5 times throughout the week. Most of the time I asked help on stuff and there were never any follow-up (ex: room cleaning). On our arrival we were assigned our room and we had to take care of ourselves, instead of a butler or staff member showing us around and explaining everything. What saved our experience was the beach staff. Gustavo and Kuri are great and we were well taken care of while we were at the beach. I had two amazing stays at this resort and this one was okay.

This hotel is the true meaning of all inclusive. There was a ton of food, drinks, and activities all day. My butler, Sandra, was just amazing! She kept me updated on activities and always reached out to see if we needed anything. We had a nice stay, but weren’t too impressed with the food.

Best Hotel and staff
This was such an amazing experience, and we owe it all to our wonderful Butler Ricardo. He was always so attentive to all of our needs. Anything that we needed or didn't know we need he was right there to offer his services. The food was great, staff was amazing.
