1 star hotel
The place is terrible. The food is making EVERYONE sick Spend more money and go somewhere else. The staff are friendly enough, but really, they are probably embarrassed to work there Not even close the beach and when you get there, you are hassled by vendors selling crap and people with dirty birds charging you money to take photos with them.

Good times
Great time. Definitely enjoyed all the amenities. Amarlys Mercedes did a fantastic job for us. And even helped with my girlfriend’s birthday decorations. Appreciated the personal service. Plus. She has the best smile. Cabana was a great choice. Casino was fun. Could use a little more than penny slots for choices of machines to play.

Comprehensive UK family Review
**Review of Royalton Splash & Punta Cana Hotels** We are a UK family of six staying for two weeks. Overall, I rate the experience 4/5—thanks largely to the exceptional staff, who made a real difference. **Overview:** The Royalton Splash is a 4-star hotel compared to the 5-star Royalton Punta Cana by the beach. While guests have access to both hotels, restaurant options for Splash visitors are more limited. **Facilities Comparison:** - **Splash Hotel:** Smaller, less luxurious reception, but boasts greenery, winding paths, and spread-out pools with palm trees. Limited shade at pools. - **Punta Cana Hotel (PC):** Larger, modern reception with panoramic ocean views, but more concrete outdoor areas. Provides better poolside shade and is closer to the beach. **The Beach:** Spectacular beach with minimal issues related to seaweed or erosion, which is a standout feature when compared to other hotels. **Dining Options:** Splash buffet is limited compared to other all-inclusive resorts. Long queues for fresh pasta became a challenge with kids. Snack bars like "Bites" offer quick meals, while PC has an outdoor BBQ (though queues are long). Scoops Café at PC provides ice cream, coffee, pastries, and is a family favorite. Bella Italian restaurant at Splash serves excellent food, but overall PC restaurants were less impressive. **Activities:** Between the hotels is a waterpark (adult >1.2m and child zones <1.2) and an Eco Zone with birds, iguanas, and potentially turtles (although not seen myself). Limited shade at the Splash park may require frequent relocation. **Maintenance:** While generally modern, both hotels need improved pool maintenance—damaged tiles and subpar repairs are evident. Has not impacted our stay but lends itself to a lower standard hotel rating. **Highlights:** 1. **Splash Buffet:** Limited, especially for pasta lovers. Queue management could be better managed by having a pasta self-serve option. Not everyone wants a sauce made fresh everytime (kids), which will reduce queue times and pressure on staff. 2. **Restaurant Bookings:** Tricky app system, with priority seemingly given to Diamond Club members via their butlers. TUI representative (Roodly) and hotel management (Verenice) were highly supportive in resolving booking challenges for us, so a huge thank you to them!!! 3. **Upset Stomachs:** Likely caused by pool water, rather than food/drinks!! Local pharmacy efficiently provided medication for our 5 year old and Hotel management checked in daily, which was appreciated. Issues cleared up after 1 day of taking medication. 4. **Staff:** Friendly, hardworking, and go above and beyond. Respect them!!! small tips are well-received. **Overall:** The resort offers a good family-friendly experience but lacks the luxury you'd expect from Royalton Hotels. If you’re seeking true luxury, consider alternatives. Special mention to Tui Rep Roodly and Royalton Splash guest manager Verenice, for being so helpful and supportive. If you do book this hotel through Tui you can rest assured any issues will be dealt with and resolved by Roodly. He really is a asset to Tui at this resort.

Do yourself a favor - don’t even consider this place
Oh goodness!!!! Where do I begin???? For starters, the pictures displayed on website are incorrect as it’s for the resort adjacent that is also Royalton. Royalton Splash does not have direct access to the beach. You can walk or take their transport access. That’s a no, no for me and my group The rooms that were assigned to us (3 rooms) were in horrible shape. Moldy and totally outdated. We spent two hours of our vacation time to be assigned to different rooms. Fortunately for us, the managers on duty, Amber and Maria Isabel, were able to accommodate us and while the new rooms were not up to Marriott Standards, they were much roomier and in better better condition. The Solutions Buffett restaurant was awful. *service was horrendous - staff so unfriendly and not attentive to guests’ requests (not Dominican way at all as Dominicans are known for their warmth and friendly hospitality) *dirty areas *even saw a roach on a wall *food was mediocre and cold *wine - horrible. I enjoy a nice glass of wine with my meals so no wine for me. *staff is not knowledgeable of their own facilities. Would ask same questions to different members and receive different answers which were all incorrect I have been 30 years in the service industry so trust me when I say that this place needs an entirely new management. They need to provide better and constant training to their employees. The employees are exploited and underpaid (for some $325 dollars per month with 12 hours shifts). They are not respected by management. I heard it from very unhappy employees. I do not recommend this place as it is NOT up to Marriott standards at all. I much rather pay a higher rate and be happy as has been my experience in the all inclusive resorts that I have stayed in Punta Cana.
