The Samba experience!
We are here with our friends and it has been a fantastic trip so far! This is my first time, but second for my husband. It has exceeded my expectations. At the buffet, I love seeing Salvador and Genaro as they are so accommodating! The food is way better than I’ve had at other resorts and a good variety and always very fresh and tasty! You never have to fight for chairs at the pool because there’s always a lot of availability. Luis at the pool bar is the best bartender and he really knows how to make some really great drinks. Oscar is a wonderful concierge. Our room is always super clean and the maid service is wonderful. We are so lucky to be here for another 10 days!

HORRIBLE FOOD. OK VACATION
ROOMS: 4* LOCATION: 5* FOOD: 1* BEACH: 5* RESORT: 3* This resort is a cute little family resort and if the food wasn't so terrible We would even consider returning. There were a few things that were so disappointing first off check-in coming off of a red eye was terrible. The front end just didn't know what do do with us. we were wandering around wondering what to do with our bags. It was frustrating. we got our room at 3pm. I really liked the room. big and had a separate living room and balcony overlooking pool and ocean. showers were tricky and toilets didn't flush- we had to fill it with water to get it to flush. My daughter and husband were sick with a terrible flu the first day and had a fever and vomiting. we only had 2 bottles of water in the fridge for all of us and when i went to request more water I was told we had to pay for it as they only allowed 2 bottles a day. I have been to over 30 all inclusive resorts and I have NEVER had to pay for water, especially when the water in the tap is not drinkable. The worst part about this resort is the food. It's just plain awful. Ill start with the buffet- same items almost every single day and night. This being family resort I would expect kid friendly options available daily but there wasn't. omelet at breakfast and the pancakes were good. I can always find something to eat but when my child gets served ice cold French fries and chicken nuggets that have been sitting for hours that pisses me off. you don't have to be a 5 star resort to serve edible and safe food , there is no excuse for that. The snack bar is the only place to get food during the day before the buffet opens and the food should be served safely and at the very least warm. there are only 2 Al la carte restaurants Mexican and Italian- Italian was TERRIBLE the bruschetta was so soggy because it was put in the microwave with a processed cheese slice. it was terrible. My food came out cold, others were ok. Mexican was the best. Beach was beautiful, size of resort was great but they need to do alot of work on their food. It's an issue that I heard multiple people complain about. Once they get their food up to even a 3 star standard this resort will be ok. Until that happens we wont be back.

Just don’t.
Friends and neighbours.. make a better choice than this resort. The food is utterly awful. There's hotdogs in the majority of dishes in the buffet. Charro beans? Has hotdogs. Mexican style beef? Hotdogs. Chorizo sausage? Hotdogs with chorizo seasoning. One dish on the dinner buffet was just.. hotdogs. Pepperoni pizza? Hot dogs. Protein in the pasta salads? Hot. Dogs. Scrambled eggs in the morning? Buddy you’re not going to believe this - also hotdogs. We often saw the chef come out and I wanted to hiss at him for showing his face. We didn’t try the Mexican restaurant (doubles as the snack bar during the day and best of luck trying to find a chair that did not have a significant amount of bird sh*t on it) but we did try the Italian “restaurant” twice and we regretted it both times. Aside from the largely inedible food there was also the hellscape that was the showers. If you’re a daredevil that loves to go from lava to a cold plunge then this is the place for you. If you however prefer just a nice shower with temperatures that won’t either freeze you solid or have you sticking to the side of the shower wall like a boiled lobster - with no warning might I add - brother this ain’t the place you want to be. Also. The hotel next door is pretty much an all-day rave. Our windows were rattling with early 90s Sandstorm-esque music all.night.long. At some point the booze I consumed was enough to simply knock me out so I don’t know how exactly how long the party went on next door but it was enough to mark my dreams and be thrilled my partying days of the 90s were far behind me. We did meet many people who have been coming here for years and years and say they love it but my only question is.. have you ever tried anywhere else? Having said that, the staff nearly without exception are absolutely lovely and can’t do enough for you. They’re kind and hardworking and generous and lovely and frankly deserve better than this place. Also tie cast majority of the beds are very very comfortable. Just be sure to drink enough to sink yourself into oblivion so you actually sleep.

Fantastic service
The service and food were fantastic, the waiters make sure you have everything you need at all times. Would highly recommend this place. Very quiet and peaceful for anyone tired of the loud and noisy resorts. Great beaches, one section roped off.
